My girlfriend and I took a friend of ours there JUST YESTERDAY. It's a sad day. Scour your houses for elephant memorabilia... we need to donate and rebuild!

This is such a tragedy. My heart goes out to the Gotwalts and all of the "kids" (both young and young-at-heart) who have enjoyed visiting over the last several decades.

I hope to be one of the first visitors when Mr. Ed rebuilds.

So sorry to read this! My husband and I have stopped her several times on our way home from visiting Gettysburg - we always looked forward to it. What a one of a kind place that way. I hope Mr. Ed rebuilds - bigger and better!

So very sorry to hear about this tragedy! We have known Mr. Ed for many many years during fair week. However we never visited his musuem, but were planning to do so this summer with our two daughters, who love Mr. Ed. We hope Mr. Ed will rebuild his musuem and would be willing to donate elephants, time or anything else that may be needed. Mr. Ed just needs to let the community know what he wants to do!

Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Ed and his family.

does someone have it in for Peanut Shops--remember what happened to Mike's Nut Shop? The "City" never did figure out what happened; another tragedy of a business that moved out of the city.

She's "Gettysburg Smart."

An elephant museum? This is what passes for culture according to you dumb hicks?

The fire was probably arson. There's a lot of crime down there in Gettysburg.

Gettysburg isn't worth a cheap trash bag full of elephant dung.
