The teachers that got let go were let go because they were the lowest rated teachers. The ratings are done by evaluations from the principal. As for the board member who barely lives outside of the school district he is a good man and loves the school his kids and he went to. We need intelligent people on the board and he is one we need to have around now there are a couple new ones on there who have no idea what they are doing or talking about and show it. The school board tells the administrators how it's going to be not the other way around.
If the teachers were let go because they were the lowest rated teachers, then lets look at who rated them..Carrie thats who. If I were to rate her, it would be on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being tops, I would rate her at a -1. Her and Stucker both need to be gone and soon! This school district needs a big about face. The school policies are not fairly enforced and the administration ignores parent complaints and also lies to parents. I caught Carrie in several lies when I have been there to visit with her. It all goes back to the little "Social Club" we call the school board that allows this to happen. We need to keep the pressure on until we gain control of our school again.

Spellcheck!
Over the last few weeks I have heard that the school administration doesn't believe we need to teach kids how to spell because....we have Spellcheck now! Of course, I didn't initially believe this, but since then I've heard from several otherwise intelligent people that this is perfectly acceptable. Amazing.
Iz this were weer hedded? I kant imajun a moor funduhmentil disservas to owr kids. Du wee allso not nied to teech math becuz we have calkyulayters? I kant thinq uf a bettor way to limot a stoodants potenshal and consine them to a life of closd dores and missd opertoonities. Heers one, lets nott teech reeding becuz wee hav oddiobooks now!
This must be a bad dream. Somebody tell me I'm way off base. Tell me this pernicious idea hasn't infected the thinking of our school and town. Better yet, set me straight. If you think this is acceptable, tell me why. Please enlighten me. Explain to me exactly how this is in the best interest of our students.
Or maybe just pinch me...HARD...so I can awaken from this nightmare.

FORMER STUDENT,
I am not saying u are defending them but first it was a budget issue (debunked), then it was a safety issue (debunked), and now its a parking issue (so we have enough parking for a high school football game, but not enough for 8-10 school buses and a few parents parents?). Which one is it? or are we just taking the faculty/board members word? Anyway, I bet Orricks school administration (board and admin) are getting nervous and defensive because the only logical explanation they have is, "because I said so!" Well listen up, the town is pissed that we lost football playoff games and now lossing track meets (its something this towns citizens take great pride in). I guess we have just done what coaches and board members think we should do and not what the town wants. WE ARE TIRED OF BEING SILENT..........
When there is a regular game the parking lots are full. They could park up town and ride a shuttle bus up to the school. They could have had the regional payoffs at Orrick if they wanted to organize the event. I am just tellin you what I was told.

You are dead wrong on Twyman his house is in Richmond school district but his farm is on Orricks. They have checked into this before and there is no issue. But by all means go to the Missouri election board i'm sure they will get a good chuckle out of it.

Does anybody else think it is a little fishy that after a certain write in canidate become involved in the race this message board has turned into a mentally handicaped version of the National Enquirer? People you need to relax!!! The message has been sent the people are not satisfied the way the school has been run the past couple years but to come on here and act like complete white trash is selling yourself short. Get some courage and voice it at the school board meeting, I did and feel a lot better about it. The truth is the 3 administrators have to go. But lets be honest they are in Orrick for a reason, they make a lot more than most of the citizens but when compared to other administrators they are at the bottom. And they damn sure won't get a lot of good references in Orrick. Do the right thing and resign you have all lost the confidence of the people in the district. I'm sure they are good people outside of school but I don't want them destroying my kids education anymore.

Unless Mr.Twyman lives in a barn on his farm, I believe his residence is in Richmond School District. He should be on the Richmond school boad. His residency is in the Richmond district. His farm may be in Orrick's but not his house. Sorry! Also, what is so wrong with having a write in candidate on the ballot? You running scared? I only hear people on the board trashing her and my question is why? The only thing I agree with that you have written is that all three administrators need to be gone. YES THEY DO! But it won't happen unless we change the face of the board.

i think that it is very interesting timing, this stuff about tim twyman. he has been on the school board for several years and NOW people are questioning if he's a legal resident of the district? come on. there are people who live in the district, but who have richmond mailing addresses. i don't buy this stuff for a minute.

I just don't think this is the forum to adress his living in or out of Orrick. Go to the next school board meeting and ask why he is allowed to be on school board or if you are so confident go to the Missouri election board. And why wasn't this brought up until close to an election...HMMM??? I wonder....

Well, this same sort of issue came up with a friend of mine... her house was actually in one school district, but her farm continued across the school district line into the next school district. Because it was one continuous farm, then she could actually chose between districts.

I know nothing of the situation with your school board or administrators and this is the first time I have ever been on this site. Quite interesting. But I have been involved in education....I must say administrators have the absolute toughest job. In my mind, you could never pay them enough to deal with all of the bull they have to deal with. For example, this!

Shame on you... to all of you who are airing your complaints on here. Why not tell them to the people who deserve to hear them? This does nothing but drag someone's name through the mud who may or may not deserve it.

So what you are saying is we should ignore it and not search for the truth? When would be a good time if it was kept secret since his election? Everyone just wants the truth and not a cover up. If it was on the up and up, then why was it kept quiet? Thats all I want to know. If he is legit, then there is no problem, if he is not, then there will be a host of issues for him and the district.

I have always found it ironic in those who do not want to use there real name in a free public forum, but not suprised(oh, and I also said I would never post on this board-but after a friend told me what was going around I had to see it for myself). This forum is addressing issues and people I care for personally in a community I love (if I didnt, I wouldnt have came back here after serving my country and I wouldnt not have spoke to the board in their last meeting-trust me-there are other places that do offer more things to do). I guess some have not checked the other posts earlier with the internet links. Yes, the issue of Tim Twyman (one of a kind good dude-I honestly love that man-him and his wife were one of the first to greet me when I came home from overseas-thank u) had been addressed in the past (as I have been told) and going off of Missouri Statutes (as I assume they were and do), he can (since the Missouri Statute does not define it). I went to the three links earlier (in response to hearing about this evening-and all damn weekend) and if the Missouri School Board Association is indeed a governing body of our school board-then they do define what a resident taxpayer is. It does state that owning land and being a registered voter in this case are irrellavent-its the residence that matters) Its unfortunate that this issue is about a great man, yet, I would assume that he and the school board didnt realize that another "possible-I dont really know" governing body does define it, but I am sure they will address the "legality" of it. It does initally appear some people concerned initialy have a right to be concerned (the question of timing is besides the point)and I believe that it will be addressed appropriatly by the School District. Secondly, I dont really think it adds up about a write-in candidate being the one who has exposed this. Furthermore, if this is being talked about, I would assume someone who doesnt know the facts would ask a candidate about this issue and expect a stance(this most certainly would be a talking point in a campaign-and thats good-it shows people are caring) In rebuttal though-if citiznes have issues, the district needs your presence when they afford the oppurttunity of a public forum. My question to those who think the write in is bringing this up would be, "what would this person stand to gain and why wouldn't they exert their energy smearing another candidate who is actually running." All 5 candidates do have personal agendas and feelings in some way and I believe (I have only talked to 3 of the 5) they would most likely all be in the best interest of the school and our kids. I firmly believe it is every American citizens responsiblity to ask questions of elected officials and express your concerns and VOTE who u think will represent your best interest. I for one, will be voting for Linda Buchanan and 2 others. This does not make me any better but it adds validity, I believe this so much I was willing to sacrafice my life for it. In closing, I have never bought into hearsay, its like FACEBOOK-its the devil in disguise. LOL. I do believe that if you care so much, cast your vote on Tuesday. The admin and board are educated enough with good resumes (so to speak) and I believe all school officials will listen to the people through the simple checks in the box. If accountability is an issue, cast your vote for those who represent your goals and ideals.

Why don't we get rid of the whole dam buch and start over. Starting with gradeschool principal and getting rid of the home grown as they carry their snotty behaviors even to the kids of today. THey were studk up snots in school and now passing their same crap on the kids today. School board has forgotten what it was liek to be a child and never consider maybe going back to OLD school would help alot. Grade school does not need PE and art teachers. Give the kids recess and have room teachers teah art. Good god how much trouble would that be. OH well maybe they will have to have less breaks. Have no faith in school and think Orrick has alot of overpaid in adiquate teachers there and hneed some major changes made.

I'm no criminal investigator but wow Mr. Rice i'm sure people won't put two and two together now, i never said the lady did it i never said her name i was implying it could be one of her supporters. I know by responding the way you did you sure did curb my suspicions, lol. She is a very nice lady and i have talked with her and am considering supporting her however some of the talk i have heard out of her supporters has me concerned. BTW the reason most people don't put their name on here is because they don't want to be associated with the filth being put on here.

OGJ55,
After reading your post, I am not entirely sure what your implying (criminal investigator, two and two). Since you were not at my home and dont know who I talked too (and I am not mentioning their name out of respect), I am refering to comments made by friend this evening in regards to the "possibilities/rumors " and real concerns of my friend of who it could be (if they are circulating in social groups). Out of another concern my friend had, I am confident the voters have already made up there minds despite the counter actions people may choose to use. Yes, I do support the write-in (as there IS ONLY 1, therefor suspiciou did imply her and I) and I would assume this opens him/her up to a Deflamation of Character suit (since implication, written, and verbal responses in public "are accountabe to applicable laws-and dont worry I have printed off every comment you and suspicious have on here (for use on latter date), an incumbent, and a fresh new face for my own personal reasons. The Tim Twyman issue angers me for him (as I KNOW he does great things), I WAS curious about things I am not sure about that I read on here, especialy when someone posts they have proof of a legal issue involving close friends After reading all the "filth" I dont believe he has anything to worry about (again, if indeed there is any truth to it). I felt I needed to comment publicy on things one of my closest friends told me what their suspicions were out there because I am one of the ones who trust the decisions Mr. Twyman makes. I dont believe in dirty politics because I have watched how it tears families and friends apart and by the way please, please let me know when I have time to run your implicated backstabbing "Secret Conspiracy Campaign" in the time between 21 hours at college, 32 hours at my job, campaigning for those I believe would represent me, and being there for my own family. Last, but most important, if you wish not to put your real name on this "forum of filth", I respect that; but my address is 104 Flora Street, Orrick MO 64077 and I personally invite you to come to my house and talk about. A I personally dont believe all administrator should resign or get let go at this point. I see you when you get here.....

Mr. Rice I said what i felt and so did you, i never accused anybody directly unlike the person who posted a mans adress in regards to him being a member of school board living out of district. I am a single mother of 2 i love the school and i know all the canidates and all are good people. In fact i'll be voting for the write in canidate just for the simple reason i believe she won't be afraid to step on any toes and thats what we need up there. The other two i have made a decision on as well both are new. And with that i'm done posting this has gotten way out of hand i didn't believe it till my husband told me to come on here and look at the filth being put on here about people sleeping around and naming peoples families it is disgraceful and am finished with topix for good this is the devils playground.
