This does not surprise me as the whole town is full of graffiti, broken tree limbs and trash from these uncivilized zombies!! The skate board park was a waste of money anyway. How about letting the parents who thought it was such a wonderful idea for their spawn to have it pay for the repairs!!

Are you serious, who didnt see this coming? A park made for a bunch of hoods to sit and sell drugs and ditch school all day. The police dont even bother going over there. As one officer put it,"they see us coming anyway." Why have lights if its not made for night use.....come on!!

For the value of that much damage they could do a couple more things, like post a guard until the vandals are caught and install a chain link fence right inside and against the board fence.

Uhhhmmm, you do know they make anti-graffiti paint right?
I would put up a sign that reads-- "This skate park is destined to be Oroville's next flower park if the vandalism doesn't stop. Signed, the Taxpayers who built this for you."

Good luck. These little human wastes have no sense of respect for anything.
They destroy public property everywhere, riding on walls and grinding on everything. They do not seem to realize that paint and repairs cost time and money. Sometimes they can be prosecuted and restitution gained from their deadbeat parents, but what they really need is some good old-fashioned discipline.

Well yes. At what point will the city prove to be smarter than the vandals and quit paying for repairs?

For the amount of money that the city claims to be spending cleaning it up, there are obvious solutions that would cost a whole lot less. It is fenced, so no 4 legged mammal is going to be in there after dark, only the 2 legged ones looking to cause trouble. The city could install hidden motion sensors pointing away from the street, which would activate a silent alarm tied directly to the PD, and these unintelligent losers would be caught. Oh, and don't run on the front page of the ER that it is alarmed......and don't come with sirens blaring from 4 blocks away. I don't look for this to even be considered though, as the city will say that it costs too much, lol.

It seems to me that running a front page photo of the taggers artwork will only encourage more vanadlism. Graffiti artists try and find the most visable places to vanadlise because they thrive off the attention.

Aren't we paying the city police to handle these crimes? The police can't be in all places at once but when you have a high crime area shouldn't it be obvious that there are going to be scum lurking around. Remember the senior who was beaten to death? How long did these little bast--ds run loose creating havic? A couple of years? Come on,this police force sucks.Stop these bits of garbage. It's not up to the users to take responsibility for the facility.

Regardless of the few who will always abuse our resources, the skate/bike park does what it is supposed to. It provides a great place for some great kids and even a few adults to have good clean fun. And the park users should be among the first to take responsibility for the park. I bet if they are given the chance, they will help clean it.
