So sad for such a young life to be cut short. Hopefully, other kids will learn from this harsh lesson.

It's really annoying that no where in the article does it say that David was street racing. Why are they covering that up when there were witnesses? It's sad that it ended like this, but the media should use this as an example to teach other wannabe fast and furious kids that street racing can get you DEAD. It's dangerous enough driving on a race track, but racing on the streets is just plain stupid when you have to dodge drivers that don't know how to merge or yield, or the 80 year old that pulls out at 35mph into 50mph traffic, or the clucker crossing the street like he's playing frogger. Add to that the inexperience of a young driver and that's just a disaster waiting to happen. I'm sure David was a nice kid, but I'm just glad he didn't kill an innocent bystander. And the so called friend that was driving "40mph" next to him is now going to have to live with the guilt of surviving and watching his friend die because of their stupidity.

Oh darn. I really hate to see a street racer lose his life. Thats too bad that he won't live another day to possibly kill an innocent person.
Its too bad that he was killed instead of someones kid who may have been walking down the street, riding their bike, or driving responsibly.
The streets are now one street racer safer. Thank you David Hottinger for for your contribution to safer streets.
