<quoted text>I agree, smoking anything can't be beneficial for you. With that said, if you have a disease already, it can't be that harmful for you.
Actually I am not sure on that. I have discovered tuns of evidence that smoking tobacco is bad for the lungs, but I found none for smokers of pure cannabis, nor for pure salvia divinorum (which is more recent, and so I have less data on it).
I have seen paper showing convincingly that the cannabis tar contains more dangerous carcinogenic molecules, in vitro, but that is not reflected in vivo.
Yet some art of smoking must be followed. The CO is easily eliminated by inhaling the right amount of air, and the fact that statistics on lungs diseases (or any disease) does not confirm the in vitro dangerousness might be explained by the curative virtue of cannabis. Smoking also allows the active molecules to go more quickly to the brain, without going through the digestive system, or the liver, which is often problematic.

Pot is a lot safer to use than alcoholic. It helps with so many thing sour joints ect. I don't understand why people make such a big issue out of it. The state could make so much money on it. And it is safer to use than cigs.

There are legitimate medical applications for cannabis which do not involve smoking it. It's wrong to assume that possession implies the person is smoking it. Bottom line, it's wrong to criminalize any plant in it's natural, unprocessed form. If you're concerned about people's health, outlaw pharmaceutical drugs which have caused hundreds of deaths directly or from people going crazy and shooting up schools after being on prescription drugs like SSRIs. There is even a website listed all the mass killings by people on SSRIs. Go to SSRIstories.com

Congresswoman Chu to Forgo Salary Until Federal Shutdown Ends, because she knows the real people are hurting because of the stupity of the Republicans and Tea Party Cit-Heads.

Look the Democrat's didn't cause it by they will stand by their constitutes in any event, while their gutless pigs of Republican's keep paying themselves.

Chu announced her plan to give up her salary Saturday, the same day the House voted to retroactively pay furloughed workers when funding is restored.

look looK loOK lOOk LOOK what I did. Chu blowing a trumpet for herself. She's so noble and sweet. LOL...Judy Chu, has a close relationship to a network of former members of a violent, pro-Chinese Marxist-Leninist group, the Communist Workers Party.

One of Judy Chu’s closest allies is Kent Wong – Director of UCLA’s Center for Labor Research and Education. In the early 1980s, Wong was a leading member of the Communist Workers Party and later almost certainly an executive committee member of the New Democratic Movement, the CWP’s vehicle for infiltrating the Democratic Party.

Wong is one of the country’s most influential labor movement figures and has been a driving force in building ties between the US labor movement and the communist controlled labor unions of China and Vietnam.

Communist and Democrat have become synonymous in America they are two sides of the same coin. Even as I grew up in 1960′s I saw this partnership grow to what it is today, the Communist Party and the Democrat Party are for all intents and purposes one in the same. Sadly the Republican Party has abandoned it’s principles to become the party of “Useful Idiots” in the Communist movement.

Pot is safer than water. Every year about 2000 people die from water overdose, usually during initiation parties or bad dietary procedure. There is no death which has ever been attributed to pot.
There has never been *any* verifiable evidence for pot danger. It is a myth coming from (bad) politics, private interests and pressure from bandits. Pot is about infinitely safer than most products that we can buy in the supermarket. We must tell the truth to the youth. Cannabis/hemp, Salvia divinorum, Magic schrooms, LSD, DMT, oral tobacco, french cheese,... are MUCH safer than alcohol, oil, smoked tobacco, legal antidpressant, legal tranquilizer, etc.

Great idea, let's substitute pot for water. Make water illegal, except for use in a bong of course. Doctors should be telling people instead of drinking water, have a hit of pot. LOL. How do you know there is not one death ever attributed to the use of pot? There might not be one reported in High Times, but I'm sure like anything else, pot has contributed to a death. Now get some help!

“I think if you look at the history, getting votes for the debt ceiling is always difficult, and budgets in this town are always difficult.”

— President Obama, news conference, Jan. 14, 2013

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. government can’t pay its own bills.... I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America’s debt limit.”

— Then-Sen. Barack Obama, floor speech in the Senate, March 16, 2006

Here's another good one Dan: Obama’s 2006 speech on the debt limit

“Mr. President, I rise today to talk about America’s debt problem. The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. government can’t pay its own bills.”

Here, Obama is sounding a bit Tea Partyish.

“It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our government’s reckless fiscal policies. Over the past five years, our federal debt has increased by $3.5 trillion to $8.6 trillion. That is ‘‘trillion’’ with a ‘‘T.’’ That is money that we have borrowed from the Social Security trust fund, borrowed from China and Japan, borrowed from American taxpayers.”

Obama’s language is remarkably similar to charges made by the Mitt Romney campaign against Obama during the 2012 election, though Romney mostly focused on the debt held by China.(Japan was ignored.) When Obama took office in the midst of the Great Recession, the total national debt was $10.6 trillion; it is now $16.4 trillion.

I have searched for such an evidence for more than 40 years. I am a mathematician, and all the papers pretending for such an evidence were easy to debunk, as they contain typical errors in statistics or in logic, like the confusion between p -> q and q -> p.
Of course,*many* people die from cannabis ... prohibition, like in Mexico, but also like those who die from the use of alternative non-efficacious and hazardous (but legal) medication.
The illegality of cannabis is just that: a lasting scandal. They knew since the start that there were no reason at all, except for the private interests and the usual criminal business. They hide since 1974 its medical benefits for many sort of cancer, etc.

The piece of trash from Ohio is cementing is name in history as a complete puppet and fool of the American Public.

Those "Tea Party" cit-heads are back in the news and in the worse ways.

October 09, 2013 Americans are holding Republicans primarily responsible for the partial government shutdown as public esteem sinks for those "Tea Party" players in the impasse, according to a new poll.

I believe people can handle substances and those that are taking too much will not be out causing problems unless they are driving or operating machinery so they have to answer for some things there...I believe it really needs to be legal because I'm tired of people sneaking around lying and stealing, crime...so take the bite out of crime, don't let it be criminal...people aren't so stupid they can't figure out what is poisoning themselves, but people are really too controlled and misguided to be able to share money so they will resort to crime and just make a fight with authorities for a lifetime occupation...if they want more money they need to find another way besides keeping police busy babysitting them.
