San Jose: Planned overcrossing where toddler killed by train still just a blueprint

Apr 27, 2010 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Mercury-Register

Nearly five years after a train struck a toddler as he followed a baby-sitter on a shortcut across railroad tracks in South San Jose, there is still no pedestrian overpass to mark the spot where he died, and where people still cross illegally every day.

there are so many illegal crossings I think we should put up fences and stop the crossing all together.

I can see by your use of the language you are of a specific group and as I read your emotionally charged answer I see the obvious mentality of entitlement. you make no mention of where money's are to be taken from to build this structure you are talking about, so hopefully you will be generous and donate but I don't think so, but then you go on about the "they need to suck it up spend tha $ n get it handle before anther baby gets hurt or dies", I see you never actually answer the age old question of who is responsible for the children of others, you are projecting as if all of us want your responsibility of the safety and care of your children I don't, I want people to be responsible for their children, if I remember right this child was killed due to her baby sitter walking so far ahead of her she could not get to the child before the train killed her in my opinion that is neglect, and I don't care if the court said it wasn't, neglect is apparent in every case of child abuse or deaths as children don't normally get killed unless someone is not paying attention, so I think you could quit looking for others to take care of your children and start watching them yourself, and why would it ever be okay to act like it is alright to jump a fence teach yur kids good behavior.

I can see by your use of language that you, quotelawrence, are a complete dumb ass. I promise you I pay way more taxes than you and I agree with real eyes... there needs to be some type of safe crossing. The very idea that someone could accuse a person of neglect due to a horrible accident is disgusting. And your comment, "stop looking to others to care for your kids"...what a hateful message. Your karma is coming at a mighty high price. Hope it's worth it.

I could care less about your theory of "I pay way more taxes than you", or the thought that "you, quotelawrence, are a complete dumb ass", really very smart people don't use news comment page to sound brilliant, or compassionate, they actually are doing the action, but you, you keep writing squibble, squibble is good for nothing, wasted effort and time, thanks for wasting your time, go raise someone else's kids.
