and no he didnt get away with it. Why dont you get accused of something and sit in jail for a year and see how "get away with it" you feel after you get out? On top of having a career ruined.

If only more people like you who knew the truth about Ramsey would stand-up. You are completely on target when you refer to former employees of Ramsey filling our courts and other county agencies. It is definitely a police state here in Butte County. He appoints his own deputy district attorneys as judges who later hear his cases. How biased is that? I don't think what Mr. Ramsey has done to Butte County is an easy fix.
I am telling my story for that very reason hoping more and more people will not be afraid to tell what they know It is very scary to see how many people have been given very good jobs in high places so Mike Ramsey can continue his way of doing business
When I told my friends I was going to start speaking out they tried to talk me out of it in fear of what might happen but if we allow fear to stop the truth we deserve Mike Ramsey but one or two voices are not enough Please tell your story if you have one and make it truthful time is running out Vote for Lance Daniel

Pardon me Diane, but what is your story aside from the opinion that you have been somehow wronged by the DA's office? You claim corruption by the police and officers or the court have harmed you, and yet I haven't read a word as to how or why. Frankly, your story thus far lacks credibility. Care to fill in the blanks?

Mike took his cue from Jane Dolan who has placed so many of her drones on commissions and boards, all to make sure they are loyal to her and her lust for power. Vote Jane out!

If you have read my other posts I have filled in the blanks I did not fill in the names but if you read carefully you can puzzle it out I do not want to come across as a mud slinger I just want to say in this forum that all is not well with in the D.A.s office and the yes men in his department are now in high places I have never said all law enforcement and people in his department are corrupt My Mother taught me long ago to respect what we called then policemen I am very disappointed in what I have seen with my own eyes and what I have heard from other people I said in another post that sometimes when politians are allowed to stay too long the power goes to their heads that is why I support term limits

Jane Dolan must be a nut. The DA does not appoint anyone to be a judge. That is done by the Governor. Many many many lawyers apply. They are reviewed by the judicial council of CA and a list given to the GOV. He then makes the decisions.

Where the heck did you ever get the idea that Mike Ramsey appoints his own judges? Thats just crazy. It sounds like you've been consulting a psychic.

Another example of the many I already posted here. Plenty of girls, esp those from broken homes, or in the hollywood/modeling scene grow upw ay earlier than you'd expect no matter how much protecting you want to instill on them. It's just the way it is and always was imo.

From that article on Charolette Lewis:

"I thought I was grown up at 14… but I fell into clutches of older men and almost ruined my life. Movie beauty Charlotte Lewis tells a harrowing tale every girl should heed.

“Perhaps I should have realised what was going on, but I didn’t,” Charlotte continues to insist.“I craved excitement and I liked men.“And although I knew sex was illegal because I was under-age, I didn’t consider it a crime.

“What happened to me is an object lesson to girls not to play truant and think they’re grown up when clearly they’re not.”

From that article:

"Long-standing cultural restraints on sexual expression and activity have been dwindling away in America for all of the last century, but one powerful prohibition not only survives, but continues to be able to turn ordinary Americans into something very much resembling belligerent Muslims bent on wiping out any stain upon the chastity of their females in blood: the issue of age.

Underage sex is still a kind of priapic third rail. And like Nabokov’s Humbert, Roman Polanski proved to be another sophisticated European gentilhomme d’un certain âge susceptible to the charms of the knowing nymphette. His sin happens to be relatively unique in being capable of getting Americans in general worked up into a lather of righteous indignation just as effectively in 2009 as in 1978 or in 1955 (the publication date of Lolita).

In exactly the same way that the idea of black sexual aggression directed at white women was once upon a time so horrifying an idea to the general community in certain American states that any close resemblance to that supreme phobia could suffice to set into motion the processes of storytelling which would fit the details of the actual case into the terrible archetype, frequently with lethal results, so too today is the idea of adult sexual aggression directed at children a compelling, and potentially dangerous, archetype.

Let’s try another literary trope. Picture Roman Polanski, not as Humbert Humbert, but as Tom Robinson, the black defendant in To Kill a Mockingbird. Just like the Polanski case, To Kill a Mockingbird features a public frenzy of indignation at a defendant accused of being a sexual aggressor toward an innocent victim, who is supposed to be protected from the advances of anyone like the defendant by powerful social taboos. Just as in the Harper Lee novel, adjudication of the Roman Polanski case revolved around issues of just who was the actual initiator and whether female consent had been given. Fearful archetypes and framing narratives can work in exactly the same in either case, can’t they?"

"Left or right, a surprisingly large number of people seem to find the editorial equivalent of participation in a lynch mob to be a gratifying form of self expression.

The most interesting aspect of all of this is the fact that Roman Polanski’s flight thirty one years ago was precipitated by precisely the same sort of journalistic feeding frenzy which has been replayed all over again recently. A firestorm of sensationalized accounts of Polanski’s misdeed alarmed the publicity-conscious judge who intended to set aside the conventional processes of justice and overrule a plea bargain already agreed to by both the prosecution and the defense.

THat is rude. Gunny will never give up his uniform or the Marines and he is not a disgrace to the uniform. Did you ever think that the girl camee on to him or maybe she was just lying about it. Think about the facts first before you start saying shit like that.
