Two patients surviving is not a definitive cure or even proof of mitigation of the disease. Statistically it is well within the bounds of just a possible coincidence. They have developed a cure for the dreadful disease, already. It's still in developement but it just saved the Doctor and the Missionary they flew back to the USA. Could they do more? Of course ! They could send $10 Trillion per year over there to feed everyone forever. Plunge us even farther into deficit land. Get real do more? They've already done it!
There is also now a new outbreak of a different strain of ebola in Congo
One of the worst problems is the lack of education. The people there seem to not get how the virus is transmitted and don't take precautions with the sick and the dead. They think it's witchcraft or vaccines. The survivors also continue to be infectious for at least a few months by way of sex and breast feeding, yet few mention that.
