WalMart isn't good for anyone! If you knew what you were talking about then you'd see. i'd choose locals over big corporation no good cheap Wal Mart any day! That's your choice to support no good Wal-Mart, but before you go off about how bad locals are maybe you should meet the great leaders of your best friend Wal-Mart and see how much they care about you and your community. And maybe they'll give you a coupon just to show what they think about you.
You are so stupid !!!

If you want to contribute to your country's downfall, shop at Wal-Mart.

If you want to watch yet another manufacturing facility go away, shop at Wal-Mart.

If you don't have a Patriotic bone in your body, shop at Wal-Mart.

If you only care about yourself and your big screen TV, shop at Wal-Mart.

att: Gary...this post has NOTHING to do with unions. It is all about the United States of America. So, before you start spouting your "mouthpiece" rhetoric, consider those who have made this country a place you can be lazy in and still survive.

So true support wal mart at others losses too. Nobody seems to care about others. Wal mart is the biggest retail corporation they can afford to do things like cover their workers for health care and what not but no they choose to eat the money themselves. Thanks wal mart for making America a better place for all of us! Thanks for setting a good example for the rest of the world. Thanks for giving us reasons not to support you greedy folks.

Your dumb! I'm only 14 how can I be in a union. FYI I don't have to prove myself right, others have done it for me. maybe if you did some research and step outside of the circle in your head then you'd learn a few things. Instead of watching wal mart commercials all day about how you can save a penny or two.

Kmart used to save us a penny or two. So did Wards, So did JcPenneys. They used to be the big bad guys in town. Expanding to larger buildings outside the downtown area. Leading to blight in buildings that were becoming obsolete in structure and design thanks to people's ever changing taste. This has happened throughout history, and history does not begin the day you are born. One of these days your kids will complain about some commercial retail giant. And the first thing that they will complain about how this new Meglomart is forcing all the poor Walmarts out of business. By then you will know better and give a little chuckle about what their idea of history is.
By the way, I have been buying stuff from China long before Walmart came into town.

We are going to be buying crap from China whether we buy it from a local smuck or not. The main difference is the price. The other difference is that the local smuck is concentrating all of his energy into figuring out ways to rip off the community.

There are lots of local businesses that have great customer service and have prices that are fairly competative. I am not sure which stores you frequent, but you might try another place. And dont froget, those laws that are designed to punish the big corporations makes it harder for businesses to grow and succeed.
My Dad, one time asked a retired tax auditor how he can tell if a small business is not paying all of their taxes. He told my Dad that if any small business is still opened after 1 year, they are not following the whole tax law.

Walmart accounts for 11% of the total American trade deficit alone . Walmart sells under .00002% of American produced goods . Walmart has its own overseas factories . Walmart is ripping off the entire world and your worried about a local making a couple of bucks to spend within the community ?

Give your money to Walmart and its gone forever . At least a local guy might spend that same money within the community and just maybe you will see that same dollar again !

Yes, but back then you had a choice. With Mao Mart being the only game in town, your choices are to buy what they have or do without.

I have chosen to do without...it's actually working pretty well.

Then surely you remember K-mart and Woolworth's, both of which went out of business almost immediately after Wal-Mart opened. Wal-Mart had shoppers in those stores recording prices and then deliberately undercut them - even at a loss - to force them out.
The same thing happened to smaller businesses all over town. This was when Wal-Mart was running their "Made in America" campaign, with little flags in all of the aisles highlighting the "Made in USA" items. What a joke that is now.
Wal-Mart has contributed to the current state of the economy by forcing manufacturers to move their operations offshore to meet Wally's aggressive purchasing policies. US factories close, jobs are lost and the cycle continues.
Wal-Mart is bad for Oroville, and Wal-Mart is bad for the country. They have almost reached the point where nobody can afford to buy even the cheap crap they sell. They are now expanding into China so they can exploit the new working class there.
At some point, they will go down, and they will go down hard and fast. When that day comes, I'm going to throw a party. ;)
you wont live long enough to see walmart fail!!!!!!!
