Once again Gary blames the ''evil unions''.Perhaps if factory workers in Communist China had the right to collective bargaining,Walmart wouldn't have such cheap prices.Oroville problems, like so many other towns aren't caused only by Walmart.Walmart takes advantage of towns like Anderson ,Oroville ,Yuba City ,Dixion etc. But GARY wants to blame unions, because he is afraid that walmart will someday have to accept organized labor.Gary seems to think that unions are bad ,mega-giant corporations are good, end of story.People join unions like UFCW because they feel that their life will be better because of it.GARY believes that only capital has the right to organize.Gary believes that the ''free-market''is the true religion. He believes that corporations are the one responsible for the 8 hour work day,40 hour work week ,overtime pay ,health insurance ,vacation pay, unemployment, etc. Gary believes it was the corporations that eliminated child labor in this country, not the unions.Gary believes our standards do not apply to foreign countries.Gary believes that, eliminate unions and everything will be fine, because corporations like Walmart care about people like you. Gary believes WALMART COMMERCIALS...
Wow, I'm honored that you wish to carry my banner for me; it seems that you feel that you know more about me than I do about myself, but unfortunately, it is you that has bought into the belief that unions have made this a great country, which at one point and time was partially true...with that in mind, they are also the ones that have made it impossible for us to compete in the world economy! So you just keep demanding more for doing less, and let's see how long that attitude is going to keep you employed in today's economy. But that's okay; you're worth every penney, right? And by God, you'll go on unemployment before accepting one dollar less than you think you are worth, right? Of course that's right!!!

Who is this Kopper idiot and who pays him? He goes around the state litigating WalMarts from coming into towns. That isn't free. Somewhere there is big money behind him.
I go into Chico to shop at least 3 days a week because we have no competitive groceries, clothing stores, etc. Also spend my money there when I want to go to a decent restaurant. I would love for all those tax dollars to NOT go to Chico, but until we start bringing in places like Olive Garden, Costco, Super Walmart, Outback, Kohl's, etc, that is what is going to happen. Chico and Paradise have shot themselves in the foot by blocking Super Walmart, lets not do the same.
And thank goodness for Home Depot!

Kopper, lets find out whom in Oroville is paying this fancy pants anti-progressive mouth so we may picket their business. I betcha its the likes of Raleys and other Oroville greedy republicans.

It is the union that is trying to keep Wal Mart from building. If you get a chance grab a retail Clerks union magazine and you can see how much they don't like Wal Marts. They tell their member's not to shop there

Well, I'm a 14 year retired union member and I have never been told not to shop at Wal Mart. A super Wal Mart store is needed here for the residents of the Oroville area and the Oroville city council members know it. Just do it and get it over with before Wal Mart decides to withdraw their plan. Will be a BIG boost for Oroville !

An interesting battle is going on in Oroville, California. Most residents are excited about plans for an upcoming Walmart Supercenter in Oroville.
A group of individuals, who call themselves "The Friends of Oroville", led by Oroville residents John Clough and Debra Woodcock, are attempting to halt this project, denying us residents the opportunity to have first class discount shopping.
Here is a brief background of those who call themselves "The Friends of Oroville".
Debra Woodcock - Her relative, Joedy Lee Woodcock, is a threat to many. Her convictions include: Speeding, DUI, and Vehicular Manslaughter. Relative Shauna Woodcock: Minor in possession of alcohol in a car.
John Clough - Relative Kathryn G Clough, another threat to many. Convictions include: DUI, Driving on a Suspended License, and 6 Speeding tickets.
These are only their Butte County records.
And these families, who are obviously assholes who are road terrorists, and a threat to us all, led by an attorney who doesn't live or work in Oroville, wants to keep Walmart Supercenter out of Oroville. Attorney William Kopper is based in Davis.
