Time share properties are great if you use it, but to be honest, you will lose interest once you have been there and done it once or twice. My kids were no longer interested in going back to the same place and with so many great travel deals around, it did not make sense going back again to the same property. So we contacted timeshareresalesource.com to help dispose our time share, and they did that in just 3 months.. Really happy and worth every dollar spent on them

Since my wife and I are now too ill to travel, our time share was becoming quite a burden and of no use to us. A friend of our suggested we try timeshareresalesource.com so we called them up and the rest is history. The process was just so simple and smooth. Highly recommended service!-

Our family used the timeshare property booking for two years in a row. After that it was simply a hassle to pack and go back to the same place. The guys at www.timesharerealsolutions.com really helped out by selling it for us in no time at all

Hi, I recently ran across your posts and just wanted to say that I found another great timeshare resell company - Choice Timeshares! They only charge you $89 upfront to market your timeshare and they do a really great job! They sold my Tahiti Village property in only 3 months! Thanks Choice Timeshares!
I disagree, I dealt with the above company, Choice, and they did nothing for me. Than i went to Timeshare Solution and was able to sell in 6 months.

Timeshare cancellation is the real solution to get out of a timeshare. When properly cancelling a timeshare, there is no further strings attached to the resort. It is important (however), to know the rules of timeshare cancellation. There are lots of companies that just want to make an easy buck and will even guarantee to recover all monies paid... if you pay them an upfront fee. This is an extension to the original scam. Never pay upfront to sell, rent, donate or cancel a timeshare contract. Do your homework and investigate the company you will choose to assist you with the cancellation of your timeshare contract as there are many who will tell you (what you would like to hear in order to empathize with you and get your business.) whatever necessary to get more money out of you. These are the rules of timeshare cancellation:

Timeshare resale - Never give this company any money upfront. All they do is put your timeshare on a few websites. They say they have many people looking for timeshares and they will put you into contact with them. The truth is you will never hear from them again. This company is a complete scam period: http://www.timesharescam.com/blog/72-purchase...

There is virtually no resale market for timeshare anymore. The market has collapsed and the stark truth is that most timeshares are worthless. Ebay is full of timeshare weeks unsold for only $1. The sellers would of course be quite happy to sell for even less just to rid themselves of timeshare:

The timeshare resale scams are just a symptom. They need to do something about the timeshare scam itself. An obligation 'in perpetuity'- that passes to your children? There is almost no legal way out of the obligation, even if you don't use the facilities and want to sell it back (they won't take them back). In other words, they hawk 'property' that you cannot resell, cannot give back, and has literally no value in the market - and tell you that you have to pay 'maintenance' forever... and that they can assess 'special fees' on in order to do repairs they *should* have been doing with the maintenance fees:

My experience with Timeshares has been horrible... From today back to day one, 10 years, and I receive bogus calls from agents wanting me to list it with them on a regular basis... Enjoy the stay, but don't buy... You will regret it as most folks I know that own do... If you're old, have plenty of money and wish to trade around, that's great - but the hoopla about how much money you save as a family vaca over the years is a real stretch. Do Not Buy Into Their Logic... Once you are in, it is impossible to get out. This is a good article about timeshare ownership:

Timeshare industry is known for being very susceptible to scams; however, timeshare properties are still a successful business for most resorts. In these times of rough economy, it is important to take care of our money, and timeshares are not in the way to achieve the financial security that we are all looking for. http://www.timesharescam.com/

Timeshares have always been a bad buy. But for those who really feel they need one I make one recommendation: Never buy from the developer. Always wait for timeshares to appear on the secondary market, usually at half-price. People like you get excited at the new developments and jump right in, only to become disillusioned later and dump the property onto the secondary market, at a loss, for a patient, informed buyer to take advantage of. http://www.timesharescam.com/

Thank you to those who posted info about Timeshare Solution. I bought into it after a long hard sell and saying it was my one shot when I wasn't near a computer to check them out. I found way too many sites with nothing but complaints about this company. Almost got sucked in by the good things listed and I agree, I think those are fake postings. Now I have to count on my credit card company to dispute the charges because it has to post before they can do anything. Don't be fooled by their pitch that you are fully protected using your credit card or else my credit card company would have said, no problem and just cancelled the transaction. Wish me luck!
Always REMEMBER in Florida you have within 72 hours to cancel any transaction that you are not sure about or changed your mind. Make sure that you have a legit address to send the cancellation to if they do not answer your phone. Check directly with the Post Office as well.
Once we were conned into purchasing some fire detectors and after the fact realized what happened and tried to contact them. No answer to several messages. Went to the address which was some random apartment at the European Village. Went to the Post Office, met with the Post Master and a PO Box number was found. Apparently the box was filled with letters that were not collected. Filed a case with the Post Office that said company was committing Mail Fraud by giving a fictitious address.
Stay alert and when in doubt or hustled to close a deal make sure it is not on a Friday or Saturday as you only have precious 72 hours.
Wish you luck. Hope your credit card company can help.
