Want to really revitalize this area how about some upscale casino's. We've enough hotels, restaurants, T-shirt shops, convenience stores etc. I,m tired of hearing the same old rant about the crime rate that will escalate exponentially. What really escalates crime is a depressed economy and stagnant govt. with limited ambition and misdirection.

It does when [you] read a newspaper. Internet Cafe robberies in Orlando earlier this year, prompted the discission that the bill wouldn't pass. The crime rate in Daytona Beach was supposed to be down. It seemed it was in terms of robbery/murder but news reports are suggesting otherwise. Chitwood will release statistics in early January.

The Atm theives are still at large. 4 of the 6 people that used notes to commit rorobberies earlier this year are still out there. You refuse to believe that city officals are misusing tax money [i'm the idiot on that one] Lol. Do really think it's going to happen?

You can bring up the point that indian casinos don't get taxed. But in order to prove that a city like Daytona Beach can have a casino, the city has to prove proper spending in order to have a casino that doesn't get taxed. You don't have to re-act to someones opinion no one is forcing you to do it. Man...you're a angry litlle pissant!
