<quoted text>I'm sorry, but his past IS relevant to the investigation. I'm not saying they should be dragged thru the mud, but it MUST be examined and considered. I've seen this said here before, and with all due respect, how anyone can think otherwise is beyond me.
1) Some unsavory character who's had dealings with him could be involved. We're not looking at speeding tickets here, we're reading about drugs, abuse, and other infractions. Even his own family has publically stated that they believe it's someone who knew them or knew of them.
2) We have come to find that DCF has been involved with them in the past, but can't elaborate on it b/c of privacy issues.
I can tell you this, the wording of Ronald's statement regarding the "agreement" he had with this 5 year old girl over discipline, which he adds is according to DCF standards, is a red flag in my opinion. Food for thought...just what sort of "agreement" do you think that was?
3) The best indicator of present behavior, and the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior...unless there's been some sort of intervention or life-altering event.
The way I see it is finding Haleigh is #1 priority. Everything else is secondary. Ronald should be concentrating on that and be a man and take the heat. He should own up to what's on public record instead of LYING, and give a simple statement on how he's changed his lifestyle (if that's true). He should NOT be holing up in his tent or trailer or whatever, licking his wounds or whatever his mother has indicated, and put finding Haleigh first and foremost.
Instead, what we hear is basically the equivalent of now he won't talk to the media b/c they're being mean to him. If it was me, no matter what, I'd be out there on any camera that would have me, and as often as they would have me, sending out messages to my daughter and begging for her safe return!
I also was uncomfortable with his statement about spanking. That is not what most people would say. You would just say I only spank my child. To say it is in DCF standards menas he has had a problem with this before and they had to tell him he can only spank with your hand. RED FLAG, Your right about his record.

I also felt that to be very telling, and I still feel when you have a sickly child on your hands you do everything to help them stay healthy , not chain smoking not spanking , who knows what else was going on. Pray this little one is found but just like Caylee who knows what she was going through. This unfortunatly happens day in and day out all over our country, and look at the millions of disposable kids in other countries. Just overwhelmingly sad, and not much ever gets done about it, no matter how much we donate , or what awareness is churned up , it still goes on and on. Kind of like the starfish analogy "maybe you can't save them all , but you can save this one and that one"

An agreement with a 5 year old about spanking. With his temper, his strength and his history of physical abuse a sickly child really had effective negotiating skills.
Say what?
Within the legal limits I forgot...

In spite of Ron's temper, etc., I really am not sure at all about who is responsible for Haleigh's disappearance.

Sadly I don't hold out much hope for her...

Don't understand why Crystal never asked for child support modification when she lost her job or quit..she just didn't pay period..and why ..the mother of Ron's 3rd child never asked for support...which is cool... if she can get by without it...

Every member of this family gives new meaning to WHITE TRASH!! Not one has an education or even wants one. Let's see...Bio Dad is with some girl who would and should be in the 11th grade!! and didn't even know the DOB of Haliegh! Bio Mom is engaged to the son of her Step Dad! Every one of them except for maybe Bio Dad's Mom is pitiful. Has anyone talked to "Misty's brother's? Take a look at the my space pages of these winners!! Every male in this family works for Misty's Dad. I guess when Ronald loses his job he will be hanging drywall too. He better not break up with her now. His Mom mentioned that the relationship had been "Strained"! REALLY??????

I'm really sorry for what you went through and also for your mom. You may well be right. Having seen and experienced something so difficult and so intensely your understanding of something like this is probably far more perceptive than most.

Ron's temper is frightful. And Misty's story is inconsistent and unlikely. Ron also got off it seems too often and too easily from looks like a lot of drug charges. He has lied also. And denied about the gun/drugs and physically abusing Crystal. I find his admission of an agreement with a 5 year old about his hitting her to be awful. I have felt from the start that Misty's story is very suspect.

I do think of little Adji.
He was such a gorgeous little boy. And it is very sad that there is nothing further about him and that he has not been found. I wonder too about his parents and how they are coping.

Interesting though, none of the principals in this case have "lawyered up." (Unlike the Scamthony's and other such murderous individuals).

My heart sank when I read your post. Hopefully you and your surviving siblings were able to get some kind of counseling in order to go on with your life. However,by the way you write,I sense you still have so much anger and hurt that still haunts you today. It's never to late. You are a survivor and should be proud of yourself. Your last line regarding the little black boy's story is right on. Nancy Grace was the only person who gave it any attention. I am not prejudice or a racist but I will say this. I am a white person and at least Black people who have many children LOVE them and if they cannot care for them,a family member steps in. Can't say that lately about white people! How many Black Children go missing and never are they given any media attention like White Children who go missing!! God Bless you and may your life be filled with nothing but happiness!!

NG was the only one who gave poor little Adji any media attention. He looked like such a sweet little boy. I hope that someday sometime we will know what happened to him, and Trenton Duckett.

Hi all- I used to be Pugs R Us- just reading all your posts and they are all so interesting and you all are correct! I have to say..the spanking comment has really bothered me, too. Then the neighbor said she heard constant verbal abuse. Does anyone else think maybe some sicko (hell- whoever??) maybe took Haleight thinking they were "saving " her from an abusive father? Just a thought

I feel Ron knows what happened. Have you seen any tears roll down his face? He reminds me of Susan Smith. And, Misty knows the truth also. But, she is afraid of him. I would be also! Give her protection from him and his family, and I bet she talks. He should never have been given custody of the children. I pray his son will be taken away from him. Time will tell...

Rose, yet another interesting theory! I can’t attest to the veracity of the mental state of someone who would take the child for that reason, even though “protection” would be the ultimate goal in said person’s mind. The trouble it seems is that the family is going off in all different directions with their “explanations” of what happened. I know LE has to check out each one of the stories, but this has just wasted so much precious time when a child is missing. One would hope that this family could put aside their idiotic squabbles for just one day to come together and give LE some REAL information that they could use, but I doubt that will happen.

In the article it was stated that the police have released the trailer house back to Ron and his Mother said he went in to get some clothes and won't stay in the home. It was also stated that Ron wants the home moved. I find this very strange. What happened in that home to make him not be able to stay there? Haleigh was taken from there according to him but what really happened? I would think he would want to be inside the home because of Haleigh's things being all around the house. This is just a thought and as I said this is strange but then the whole case is very strange with the twists and turns.
