If this kid worked at McDonalds I doubt the headline would read "McDonalds employee arrested".

Nice, fired before being found guilty of any crime.

Way to go Disney!

The way I read the article, none of this even happened on WDW property. Way to go Sentinel- what does this guy's employer have to do with the alleged crime?

I wonder how many of these Orlando Sentinel writers worked at Disney as a kid and still have an ax to grind....If they were any good as a writer Disney would have scooped them up and placed them in cool jobs writing literature for Disney...... Imagine what a cool job that would be..... But alas.... They took a step down to work for the local rag.... But still allowed to take journalistic liberty with the facts.....

The headline should just have easily read "Guy who drives car arrested for allegations of 14 year old slut." WTF does Disnay have to do with it?

While I agree it's misleading, they got all of us to read the story which is what they wanted. They were successful once again....We all know headlines is what draws people including myself.

Great. This will show up on a thousand news channels all over the country, before they realize it's an 18 year old and his underage girlfriend, and nothing happened AT ALL involving Disney.

The Slantinel sloppy editing does it again. Can you at least ASK if they went to Journalism school before you hire them??

He's also only 18. It's barely a 4 year difference in age. I guess it's technically illegal, but it'll be a shame that this kid will be branded a sex offender for the rest of his life. People under 20 shouldn't be branded pedophiles, they're kids too.

First of all it doesn't say Disney fired him because of this incident. Second, could this writer have gone more out of his way to connect this in some way to Disney?

Why the Sentinel continues to print this sort of journalism is beyond me. The National Enquirer is more objective. I wonder how many articles there are of Sentinel employees who got in trouble with the law?

I would really like to see a reply from the Sentinel on this, if you would too, please post saying so.

Awwww...inhale the power of the SEX SQUAD run by Chris Loiken ... first it was drugs.. then child abuse... now, its sex, sex, sex...and it only happens in Lake County! Watch yourself ladies & gents .. if Lake County SAO and their respective partners in sin can get you into one of their county beds... your done for! Thats where the guards molest you...and the DCF workers ruin your life... look at the Groveland Mayoral candidate ... life, reputation, career ruined .. based on false accusations... leading the way by the local authorities.. those same said authorities who allow DCF worker Sade C. to run loose even after she resigned from DCF for failing to SEE 300 clients...but, reported she had seen them... even though another worker attempted to falsify and set up a client .. accusing him of violating an injunction...her husband a local cop... awww..the joys of Lake County Justice... applied only to the outsiders...but, never ever to their own...look at the Lake County Sheriff who chased women down the streets of Orange County w/his penis in hand...not a word said..and yet...he had control of local inmates... such a joyful place... my friend.. if they grab you...your goose is cooked...because your innocense is no longer relevant..its a corrupt little place... stay far far away from it.

The "Second" part of your comment hits the nail right on the head, this article is so slanted, the Sentinel should hang its head....and second the opinion of how many sentinel employees have broke the law in suck an extreme way...I am waiting for the headline regarding somthingnot ork related that reads "Sentinel Employee Arressted for....." I will let you fill in the blanks

This bothers me how the Sentinel convicts these people in the press. They only ever tells the victims side of the story. And why is Disney mentioned? Maybe he was terminated for another reason. Shameful is correct - National Enquirer sources it's stories better.

Question number one.. the girl apparently had some type of realtionship with the teen because the police went to his apartment to get pick her up.
Secondly.. the girl stated at first they had spend the night at his apartment and nothing happened. When the boy then stated that they had stayed at a hotel with HER Friends,HER story changed.
I am not saying that the 18 year old should have been around the 14 year old, but there do seem to be a lot of unanswered questions. My first impression from the article was that there might be inadequate supervision concerning the girl. The young man in question obviously isn't thinking properly and has missed some parent/teen talks as well.

Talk about cheap headline grabbing, this made it seem like it happened at Disney. If he worked at the Sentinel, Chili's, Wal-mart or any other place for $6.50 an hour where he worked would never be mentioned.

I think the headline writer should be fired.
