I just realized that here in Osceola County we have 0 strip joints and only one xxx book store ...... We are blessed to have kept them out .... So who gets the credit for keeping out the trash all these years ??? We are really blessed in Osceola .

But in the same vain I noticed a lot of these Korean "massage parlors" spouting up all over 192 area ... Do you think any hanky pinky goes on in there ....just wondering ??

Here's the way I live: I pass by strip clubs and massage parlors every day and I choose to NOT patronize them. They are not a blight, they do not attract seedy people, and they certainly don't hurt anyone. That said, I am happy with the fact that I have the FREEDOM to take advantage of whatever 'services' they offer. If you think that the government is correct in trying to regulate 'morality' by creating zoning restrictions, then you go ahead and keep on sacrificing personal freedoms to them. People like you should spend less time pontificating and more time on tolerance and understanding of people who do not share your narrow views.

OK. We're talking about the County level here and one can assume that the majority of Osceola County residents want it this way. Agree that such places can be "passed by" but they do tend to pop up in the seedier sections of town and, they keep those sections seedy. In short, they ARE a blight. Other than affording perverts an opportunity to ogle naked women, they offer nothing of value to the community. Oh sure, they pay taxes, etc., but so do a host of other businesses. And yes, you have the "freedom" to visit such places but so also do local residents have the "freedom" to disallow them in their backyard.

If you are correct and the issue came up as a public referendum, then the people decided- and that's a good thing. I have a problem when government makes those decisions without public opinion. And I disagree with the 'seedy' part. These businesses are highly regulated for the protection of the women who freely choose to work in them. There are definitely some that are on the unsavory side, for sure, though. And ogling women? Do you think Hooters has world class food, or is there another draw there?

The county I live in does not have strip clubs but just over the county line, there are at least ten. This is a commercial area with some of these clubs being in small strip malls along side other businesses. Since they operate on different hours, no one is exposed to anything other than the name of the club. And people LIKE Darwin are not running around with underage children or subject to STD's because of a difference of opinion. Most pedophiles are sanctimonious azzholes like you who act like they are too pious to think anyone not perverted would go to a club like this.

I find it amazing that anyone who lives in Osceola county would worry about a strip club. You have a huge gang problem in Kissimmee. Your schools are sub-standard. Parts of Kissimmee proper have become as dangerous as Parramore in Orlando. The reason there are no strip clubs is the same reason that the Seminoles have been unsuccessful in bringing in a casino. Disney doesn't want anything that they believe will detract from their wholesome family destination image, and they block any businesses like the ones you are so worried about. I also disagree with Darwin that these places do not cause an area to deteriorate. Many of the women who work in those clubs are drug addicts and/or prostitutes. Orange Blossom Trail is a great example of how an area went to hell in a handbasket because of the prevalance of "adult entertainment". However, there are neighborhoods in Kissimmee where being like OBT would be an improvement. Get off your high horse and vote next time for a small tax increase so that your kids will learn to read!

Between Spooky and Tired's responses to your post, I'm hard pressed to find additional adjectives to add. But, regarding your obvious dysfunction, I'll 'have at it' as you challenged...

First, in my experience, the people that rail against activities that they deem 'inappropriate' are the most sexually regressed, closeted degenerates among us. Your references to STD's and pedophilia support my theory that you have more than your fair share of indecent thoughts.

Second, your holier-than-thou attitude directly contradicts your religious standpoint. I do not patronize the establishments you crusade against, but nor do I judge the individuals who work there or those that spend time in them.

Third, what do you care? Seriously, how does a guy who wants to get some eye candy after work affect your life? Your ignorant perception falls flat when facts are presented: Men's clubs are not Roman Orgies. They are simply a place where a guy can go and look at pretty women. Just like Hooters, the beach, a public pool, etc. The women tend to be somewhat exhibitionist, and the men tend to be somewhat voyeuristic. Just like Spring Break on any beach in the country... It happens every day in the workplace, at shopping malls; anywhere where men and women interact. So what if the 'rules of engagement' are slightly different in a men's club?

Some people just don't have enough real problems in their lives so they worry about crap like having a titty bar in a huge county where no one wants to live unless they're hispanic or a redneck cracker.

I have one thanks. I spend approximately 30 minutes/day total on Topix. Entertainment. You, on the other hand, with various names, spend all day every day, much of it yammering about a dead kid that you didn't know. I would tell YOU to get a life, but I don't think you're intellectually or emotionally capable of living in the real world. Go back to the endless rehashing of the Anthony case and pretend that anything you write on Topix will affect a case that's over in any way. You're pitiful.

Every time you read one of her posts you have the feeling of "been there, done that."
She never has anything new or interesting to say. You can predict her pathetic posts
from an uneducated person with limited urban dictionary ghetto vocabulary. She lives in or near Tavares, FL and admits she had to lower her standard of living. No wonder she is so angry all the time.
That and her George Zimmerman BMI.

Dang, you really are needy today, fatgirl. Why do you lie so much? You lie about me, you lie about Spooky, you lie about what gender you are (or perhaps you really don't know what gender you are), you lie every time you post, which is approximately 300 times/day. Is your life so awful? Are you one of those 1000 lb women who can't leave the house because you can't fit through the door? Or are you just so ugly that BFE, TX has requested that you stay indoors? There now, psychotwat, I've given you a little extra attention today. You can stop jumping up and down yelling "watch me watch me" like a badly behaved toddler.

Strip clubs are not so bad. Two of them I worked for had day care for my kids that were too young for school. They even arranged for a customer to pick up my other kids after school and bring them back to the club until my shift was over.
I was always home with the kids by 8:00 in time for supper and to put them to bed.
Stop badmouthing the titty bars.

The women whose bodies have been wrecked by having a litter of kids complete with stretch marks, sagging breasts from nursing and pregnancies, and cottage cheese on the thighs don't usually make as much as strippers. Thanks for finally coming clean, Tired of Stripping. lmao
