I hope everyone that reads this enjoys it. I write a little and wanted to share something positive on this site, instead of some of the negativity with many threads, as you all know.

Life often gives us moments that can make a difference in our lives, from which we can learn, grow, and mature in ways we never knew. However, it is what we do with those moments, that truly make a difference in our own lives, as well as the lives around us. We are all faced with struggles, but it is in those very moments, when we, as individuals truly need to see the beauty that surrounds each and every one of us. No matter the sadness, the tragedy, the outcome, or the circumstances, there is and always will be beauty.

We see so many people around us hold onto the past, while continuing to hold onto pain, suffering and an undesired outlook that things will not improve. I will say, that by this point in life, we both have been through so many things that could have broken each of us, but it was through God's love and grace, that we were able to see, understand, appreciate, and utilize the beauty and strength that was offered through all that was and is beautiful in our lives. Both of us, having been brought up in the Church, know that the world can be full of hate and misguided influences, and through it all we have found strength, beauty and courage in those around us, in ourselves, and most importantly in God's word.

It is important to know that we are given opportunities, both good and bad, in which we can become better people, and learn to use those lessons to help others. This life is not just about our individual selves, but about our loved ones and the broader community, in which we live. this community is large, and does not include just the geographic location in which we reside, but in the hearts in which we are nested. This community spreads far beyond our eyes and minds, but deep within other people beyond those we know. This is why our energy, whether positive or negative, reaches more than just our intended audience, and our perceived presence in that community is seen by more than we know.

It is through this, that we each, have found that we have a bigger impact than we ever realized. As you read this, please think about every word typed before you. In each person around us, there is some quality of beauty, that we have seen. Had it not been there, that person would not be in our lives. It is important, to always see that and appreciate it. It is also important, not to take action without considering that gift, the beautiful thing we see and once saw. Our actions and words impact the very hearts of, not only those around us, but ripple out like a pebble tossed into the waters of life, to each person beyond the very ones close to each of us. We must take care in what we each say and do, for the chain reaction we each start with those words and actions is uncontrollable once the act has been done. If we choose to be positive in what we say and do, that in turn, creates more positive reactions which ripple out to very shores of other peoples lives. So, before tossing that stone into the water of life, make it a positive and meaningful action so that the water that washes upon the shore does not erode the very fabric of the beauty that surrounds us. Kindness in action is far greater than any of the grandest intentions.

Life's lessons teach us to love deeply, live lightly and freely, care much, laugh loud, impact positively, sing proud, and hug passionately. It also teaches us to forgive often and from the heart, to give freely of ourselves, ask the right questions when appropriate, offer strength when others have none, and work to change things for the community around us....that bigger community that our eyes cannot see, but our hearts can feel. It is at that point, when we do these things, we are a part of the beauty that surrounds us!

Whoever reads this completely...Thank you!!

Hi Max, how r u doing? I havent been on for a week since I was on vacation. We went to Ocean City, MD. I had so much fun and it was nice to spend some quality time with my 13 yr old daughter. The weather wasnt great and the ocean was freezing so the kids barely went in. We had 4 kinda nice days, it was about 85 and it was a little windy but I still got a nice tan. Our condo was really nice, they had an ice skating rink inside and a cute ice cream and candy bar. We all usually go to Myrtle Beach but for some reason my mom let my daughter and my lil brother choose where they wanted to go this year. We all told the kids how the ocean wasnt going to be warm like in Myrtle but I think they remembered havin so much fun there once when we went when they were small and they liked walking the boardwalk and playing all the games and riding those little rides. And now they r to big and cool for that,LOL, and they also realized almost every store on the boardwalk has the exact same stuff.

Overall i had a blast and im so grateful for the time I spent with my teenager. Its not to often these days that I get to spend 7 days strait just hangin out with her and having fun. She is my lil social butterfly and is always on her phone, having friends over, going to the park, or at a sleepover somewhere, so it was awesome to have some much needed time with her.

Someone at the top needs to learn who to condense. There was no room to reply.

In the last 65 years, dozens of 12-step groups have been founded based on the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous, including Debtors Anonymous, Emotions Anonymous, Clutterers Anonymous, Workaholics Anonymous, Sex Addicts Anonymous, Incest Survivors Anonymous, Parents Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Shoplifters Anonymous, Child Abusers Anonymous, and Nicotine Anonymous as well as Overeaters Anonymous. Though these programs vary widely in focus, they all use the disease model. They all advocate admitting that one is powerless over the problem at hand, be it nicotine, shoplifting, or household clutter, and believe that only through admitting this powerlessness and asking for the help of God or some version of a "higher power" can one get better.

There needs to be a new model. Telling people they are sick and will never be cured is OLD SCHOOL. Any suggestions to for new material?

Thanks Princess Hey...Have a nice holiday weekend. We are closing the pool tomorrow, once the kids are back in school there's no point in keeping it open. But it's also a sad reminder summer is over and it will be snowing soon. I'm so not looking forward to the cold weather, ugh!
