Is hanging out at a grave site offensive?

We're not SUPPOSED to get rain today but it hasn't stopped it any other day this week so I'm waiting. Hey Terri I'll take one of those and could you email me that so I'll have it at my other nesting place.
It does sound good, doesn't it. I have emailed it, too.

What are you playing, 16 inch?
I played 16in for a few years in the city back in the late 80s.
It's actually 14 inch. Never heard of that one before. Girls wear gloves, guys don't.

Ahhh, I think I've seen that, is the ball slightly mushy?
Yeah, they call it "mush ball." It's fun. The ball doesn't travel well, but I'm a line drive hitter anyway, so it's all good.

We're having a thunder storm, replete with lightning and a downpour. <sniff> No gardening for me.

I played one season of softball with a bunch of girls when we were in are early 20's. First of all -- let's get this out. I'm LOUSY at softball. I have other sports I do well in -- softball, not so much.

Thankfully, most of our team was like that. We played against very BIG girls. Girls that, well, didn't look so much like girls. We did our nails beforehand, had our make-up and hair just right -- we weren't interested in the game. We were intersted in going to the local bar after. Hey, I was 22 -- what do you expect?

Our coach was a friend and he was REALLY into softball. He quit once but we got him back by buying hm a pitcher of beer. He didn't get it that we were just having fun. We lost every game but we had a lot of fun.

A pitcher of beer? Wow, he's pretty easy. I would have required at least two pitchers and probably a shot.

We only won one game last year in our first season. This year we've played much better. Won our first 3, then dropped both games of a double header. And of course, rained out last night, so there will be three double headers in a row starting next week. Ouch.

Softball? Did someone mention softball?:)

I'm loving this season. I pitch for two teams and play third for another (ugh, my game tonight is at 9:15). Last week, i snagged a hard grounder down the baseline (surprised even myself) and then *almost* got the batter out at first. If it had been a girl, I woulda had her.

Here in Minnesota, we have sexist softball rules for coed teams. When a guy's up to bat, we use a standard 12" ball. When a girl's up to bat, we use an 11" ball. Yes, we rotate balls with each batter and it's annoying. There are other sexist rules (like, if a guy walks he goes to second base, the girl after him can walk to first if she wants--but I refuse to do that).

In college, I made it onto a Division I softball team but didn't last long: The lesbians dominated the team and if you were straight (as my friend and I were/are), it was a miserable experience. We both quit -- it wasn't FUN playing with a bunch of man-hating, hetero-hating betches.

Shame on the coaches (also lesbians) for allowing the harassment.

Kind sir, I was under the impression, although I may be misinformed, that these are public threads where posters often disagree with one another. In fact, that seems to be the express purpose of the threads.

I apologize that my disagreeing with this particular individual has caused you such grievous mental anguish.
