Chris was the best damn friend I've ever had. Kevin, too. There was a three year gap where I spent more time at their house than I did at my own. The whole family is amazing, even though I've only seen them a couple of times since the crash. I have an abundance of memories about him and most of them are happy, but some of them aren't, like when they lost their grandmother. I was there that night when they found out, and I know the toll it took. But one of the things that I smile about the most is when the three of us used to hop on the Votran and ride it up to Dunlawton Square and back, and when we got back, we'd go screw around with bikes or boards or go-karts. We weren't driving then, but still, it was a time when we were all more free to do what we really wanted. My prayers are sent to both families every day. Chris would never want any kind of fight going on about who's fault it was or anything like that. He was so carefree, just going with the flow. I fell into a really bad spot after the accident, and I'm just recently pulling myself out of it.
Maybe there's no point to this post. But he's changed so many lives in the smallest ways, and for that, I'll always be thankful.

I've known Brian for a long time. We grew up in Longwood together. We were best friends. His other best friend was Paul. We hung out a lot.
I remember Brian was in a terrible motor bike accident (before his teen years)(motor cycle, moped??? I forget it was many years ago...) It was not his fault. Throughout the years I've known him after the accident, he was never the same. He has always complained about pain. I can see how this happened.
Coupe I am very sorry for your loss.

As any story goes there needs to be a plot twist at the end to make it a good read. I just found this today and after reading it I felt I would mention I knew the Wallschlaegers back at the time of the incident. Food for thought!
Brian's oldest brother Kevin relized he had a problem and stopped drinking years ago.
Steve the next oldest partied with his own son after boot camp and his son got kicked out of the Marines when he went back.
Randy the next in line had a severe drug problem had to go to rehab.
It seems you all know Brian's story.
Tracey Divorced Randy and married Steve.
How's that for a twist, for those that read till here..
