Where you are not allowed a cell phone on your person you are allowed to have it in your car. I believe the case is a "Test case" for the new ruling.

Company policies should never overrule the Constitution, after all they are supposed to be "unalienable" rights of course unless you work for Disney. I really owe them a huge thanks, we were to be having our family vacation, with my brother and his family at Disney, but now we will be visiting other Florida sites instead. Overall saved me about four grand.

Thats is SUCH a cop out remark about your vacation. Give me a break. Guess you will stop going everywhere then because MANY companies will always do something to annoy you, then you will make the same statement again. Why not just stay in your cabin with your musket, rebel flag and start blaming all the worlds problems on everyone else.

What the spokes woman really means is "we won't compromise the safety of our management and it's ability to collect revenue". These corporations think that because we voted for Bush twice that we are idiots! Hope the security guard wins!!! Sorry corporate neocons.

So,Tom you equate someone knowing that the Constitution trumps company policy with "muskets, rebel flags, and cabins". You are brilliant with your laser like logic.

I hope Sotomayor wins his job back in addition to millions of damages! Way to take the big bad mouse to court as this big bad mouse have always thought it's above the law!

Last, does the bad mouse think it can stop any disgruntle employee from driving home and bringing his gun back onto property if the employee is hell bent on going postal? Does any red light stop red light runners?

Funny thing is, he was fired for not cooperating in an investigation... not for having a gun on property. Hard to sue to get your job back for something you weren't fired for.

He was terminated for refusing to have his vehicle searched, NOT for having a gun om property, although he likely did.

As much as I hate to side with Disney, they legitamately terminated the individual. Had he let them check his vehicle and find a gun he most likely would have had a stronger case.

Have to agree that Disney fired him for proper reasons. He disobeyed company policy (an investigation). His car was never searched, so this is not about the gun issue. Yes, he said he would carry a gun, but since he didn't agree to the search, that can't be proven, can it? You messed up, idiot. You should have let them search your car!

As for the people who want him to win millions of dollars. Great. The rest of America who has to save for years to come to Disney on a family vacation should have to pay more because of this greedy, publicity-seeking guy. People look at Disney as their personal lottery.....just one good case and they are made. It's pathetic.

This guy sounds like he is a "Wannabe Cop" He was hired by Disney and he knew the rules, so this guy needs to grow up and follow them. I hope the guy never returns to Disney, he sounds like the type of person who would shoot someone for stealing a piece of candy if he were allowed to carry a gun!!!!!

Here we go again...the expert on the constitution.

The constitution does not give people the right to do anything at any time they wish, anywhere they want...the constitution is not limitless and is not the end all of every law or problem facing America. Just like you can't yell fire in a crowd and try to use the freedom of speech defense. The constitution is not absolute so please get your head out of your...

Exactly, he refused to submit to company policy that he agreed to when he was hired. I'm sure they have his signature on a document that supports this.

And you sir, are an idiot. As to your last post, I'm sure there are plenty of employers who'd be proud to hire Mr. Sotomayer. I know if I were an employer I would be proud to have someone willing to stand up for what's right working for me.
