Fair enough. Bear in mind, however, that the platform for these stories is not her show, but independent interviews. I do not watch her show; hence, her weight challenges would have stayed off of my radar. She put it out there for everyone when it should have stayed on her own show for her own fan base.
I don't care either way about a person's weight as long as they are decent human beings with half a brain. If you are happy in your own skin- God Bless You- that's half the battle.
I think that her independent interviews help those with eating disorders who don't watch her program. You are correct that being happy in one's own skin is something for which one should strive. Unfortunately people with eating disorders or any other mental problem are NOT happy in their own skin.

Eat to much of anything and you will gain weight. Oprah is just setting everone up for a new challenge. She will go on some bull doo diet and then put the whole thing on her show and make another billion dollars. G-d bless Ophah and the jerks who listen to her bull on her show. Maybe the new pres. should make her the secretary of overweight people and give her a big chair in the white house
She could be Secretary of Weight.

LOL! When I saw the headline, I thought she was overeating from being depressed over the stock market!

Hmm, good point. I don't watch her show, either, and wouldn't know WHAT she weighed if she didn't keep going to the media about it. There seem to be more crazies on Oprah-related threads than any other.
If the Oprah threads were trees and we could shake them, dozens of nuts would fall out.

I actually lost weight while eating Blue Corn Tortilla Tostitos. It was probably the dip she ate with them that caused her weight gain. I don't watch Oprah, so I don't know or care what size she wears. I know she is old and older women past menopause get thick around the middle due to hormonal changes. That's how I know the women here who are pushing 60 are not the small sizes they claim to be.

Also, their other health concerns point to poor life choices and ill health. That's why they are always in what the older generation describes as a "snit" and always pitching hissy fits over nothing. It's amusing to watch at first and then one wonders how they were raised. Please don't answer.

I did all of my shopping pre Fourth of July, so I have time this morning to waste on this dull Florida board. It seems IQ's don't go over 100 in Florida.

It's more likely chocolate chips than corn chips. Corn chips are not that good.
