I used to live in Germany and ALDI there was fabulous. When I moved back to the states and went to one here, I was shocked at the amount of cheap merchandise for sale, it was nothing like the local fresh quality food sold in Germany.
However the one good idea is paying for a cart. They do this in Germany too and you will never see a cart left in the parking lot to hit some unsuspecting car. You bring your cart back and your quarter pops out. You dont really pay for it.

Very funny that to this day they are at every career fair imaginable; Diversity Job Fair, All Florida, CFEC, etc. BS that they are hiring at this point, more than likely looking for publicity, just like the majority of companies at the fairs & possibly looking for mailing list fodder.

I love Aldi's! I shopped them in Germany and in Ashtabula & Painesville Ohio! We had fun filling two carts, TRYING to spend $200!

Just remember to bring your own grocery bags... but, if you forget, You can buy them at the store!

I cannot wait for the two new ones in my area to open!!!

Aldi's is for people on food stamps! Low grade, low cost food, the rejects from the major food company's or overruns. Go to an Aldi's in Chicago, most of them are in the "hood".The local Pr's here will love this store.

for a discount food store, i love the fact that all of the aldi's I have entered had been very clean, and very well organized. It's not like other discount bargain places like dollar general, t.j. maxx, and the like. you can actually find two of the same thing neatly placed on the shelf. it's not for food stamp people, from my experience, it's primarily used by and employed with college freshman. I saw the one being built in the Sanford area, the parking lot was clean, the area was clean and well-lit. Hopefully, it's patrons as well as it's management will help maintain the cleanliness. Occasionally, you will see brand-name items, but not often. This will actually hurt the business of the convenience stores that sell non-name-brand products for unreasonable high prices. It's actually a very good thing for the area. Just because you can't afford name-brand products, doesn't mean you have to be a slob.

PLEASE build an Aldi's in the Fort Myers area. I love this store. I find that their brands are better than the brand names.

I shopped at Aldi's in Chicago and LOVED it! When I moved to Orlando, I couldn't find anything comparable. I'm THRILLED Aldi's is opening new locations here in central FL and can't wait to start shopping!

Hi,
I have shopped at Aldi for years when I lived in Virginia. I have moved to South Florida recently and you have NO! stores here. I miss your store terriblely. With the cost of food today we all need Aldi in South Florida. Please consider opening up one here. I know for sure you would be a great success for people in South Florida.
MISS YOU SOMETHING AWFUL!

I wouldn’t pay a quarter to rent a shopping cart, because, I bought my liftetime quarters at http://www.cartquarter.com I can use them always and forever and never ever have to ask for Change or digging for a quarter in my wallet again. It’s great and good to know that people have smart ideas

What's with the $0.25 to use a shopping cart? Sounds like more of a hassle to adminster than it would be worth.
guess this way they get their carts back. When you're done shopping you return the card in the stall and u get your quarter back. They don't keep the money.
