To Einstein:
AMEN! You presented the very same argument that I do, and in a much better way than I could have ever done! What makes them think that by abollishing assualt weapons that it is going to take them out of the hands of the criminals? The criminals buy these weapons out of trunks of cars for 1/10th the price without any regulation being imposed ( ie. fully automatic ). For the law abiding citizen to buy a fully automatic weapon, they would have to jump through hoops and pay out the ying yang for a special permit that they have almost no chance in getting. But, the local gang banger just walks down the street to a another criminal and buys one for close to nothing. That is why I for one am glad that the Brady bill expired. If some gang banger wants to shoot at me with an AK-47, I can now at least defend myself with a like weapon instead of trying to shoot back with a handgun that does not have the effective range and firepower to be effextive. That would be like bringing a knife to a gun fight. Look what happened in New Zealand. They took away all the guns from law abiding citizens and home invasions sky rocketed, RAPE sky rocketed, and armed robbery sky rocketed. What's to stop a criminal when he knows that someone doesn't have a gun to stop them, when the criminals themselves do have one, NOTHING!!!!!!!!

One other thing for any liberals who want to pipe in, a strong sign of a civilized society is where men and women can own firearms without hurting one another. Once you take that right away, you have offically conceded that America is no longer a civilized society and that we have resorted to treating all US citizens as potential criminals, uneducated, unwashed "masses" who cannot think for themselves and who need to be told how to live their lives. I don't think it is fair that a small minority of criminals, thugs and gangs in this country can ruin the civility of this country by purchasing weapons illegaly and thus slowly stripping away the rights of those who never broke the law and have always respected this country and the people who live here. Using that mentality, we should take away everyone's right to drive a car because criminals use cars to commit crimes and often kill people in the process with their reckless driving.
Only a coward needs a gun to feel like a man or a woman for that matter. The shrub is a coward who has committed acts of genocide, yet I do not see you calling for his censure. The shrubs wife is responsible for vehicular homicide yet she can still vote. And the best you can offer is some neanderthalic diatribe the consist of ones narrow minded and out-dated misinformation.

I used to own a gun and I've had to pull it twice in defense of myself. Once because of a cowardly bigot like yourself tried to attack me from behind in Hallandale. I had to pistol whip the fool into rational thinking. He had a softball bat and he didn't like the idea that I was shooting pool with a white woman. The other was some ignorant wife beater who took offense when I sheltered a friend of mine.

I had second thoughts after these two events, because I could have easily ended both of these individuals lives. When I was capable of using hand to hand methods that I learned in the Air Force and from Tae Kwon Do lessons. So I feel no need for a gun to protect myself. My dog Sasha and my cat Bandit guard the home while I am out. And people pretty much avoid my house period because of how I trained my pets to react when strangers come about.

So I reiterate only a Coward need a gun!!!!!

Too many of you cowards are too quick to pull a gun when there are other options available.
Also there are people convicted of felonies with have nothing to do with being violent or even using a weapon in the first place. You are as dumb as a box of rocks and about as smart as a mud picket fence.

What world do you live in? Do you honestly think that crime only happens in your home? Every other week or so, we hear in the news about someone being carjacked or held up by gunpoint. a month ago or so, there was a story in the news about how a guy defended himself from inside his car from two people who were weilding knives and trying to attack him due to road rage and while he was stuck in traffic. He successfully defended himself , lawfully by the way, because he was armed with a hand gun. His vehicle was stuck in traffic, what other options did he have with two men trying to cause him bodily harm with a knife. Does he not have the right to defend himself? Damn right he does! I applaud the man for doing so! That is why we have CWP's. So law abiding people like that man can defend himself. How dare you take the right away from him? What gives you the right to take that away from him? Are you saying he should of just let himself be hurt or killed just to satisfy your messed up sense of morallity? How can that be morally corect?

I don't know about you, but I don't consider him a coward for not being stupid and try to defend himself against two men with a knife with just his hands. You are a true idiot! The 1st Amendment was adopted at a time when newspapers were printed on hand presses, so by your logic radio, television, the internet, etc. would not afforded rights under that Amendment.

Also, the 2nd Amendment isn't about hunting as many anti-gunners would like us to believe. The 2nd Amendment is about self-protection and giving the people the power to defend themselves against tyranny. Those of us who are staunch supporters of the 2nd Amendment aren't just concerned about today, but what might happen to this nation a hundred years into the future. There is no guarantee that our fledgling democracy will actually survive. If you doubt this, read the so-called "Patriot Act". We're well on our way to becoming a police state.

Maybe Linda Kliendinger should have checked with the Feds first...any felon in possession of a firearm gets a brand new federal charge and a free place to sleep and eat for the next 10 years. Maybe the Sun-Sentinel could start a new FREE GUNS FOR FELONS program downtown at the Festus Center or the SS Building. Or have the homeless newspaper vendors they exploit hand them out at major intersections like Broward and Federal!

You failed to mention that those two clowns were racist caucasians and deserved what they got. Now you need to address ameriKKKan denial of being a racist nation. Maybe if you inbred racist were to look within yourself for the solution to your own demons this Black Man wouldn't have felt the nedd to carry a gun. Which is one of the reasons why I bought the guns in the first place. Being harrassed by racist ignorant ameriKKKans such as yourself.

A gun is not the answer, it is only a crutch. Most of you cowards would open your ignorant maws if it weren't for you packing some heat. You would run home with your tail between your legs while peeing down the other. But if you want me to carry a gun I have no problem with that. FYI while in the Air Force I was recruited for sniper training. I can still spin a racist in circles at fifty yards with a 9mm S&W. I just choose not to, because the temptation would be too damn strong.

So in the words of Forrest Gump "A Coward is as a Coward does".

My cat can whip your dog any day of the week. I had to post a warning sign because of my cats aggressive nature. Bandit doesn't play the radio. As for Sasha don't let the name fool you. Besides my ex-Bosses daughter helped choose Sasha's name. FPL would read my meter for months because of Sasha and I keep her in the house. So if you feel froggy just try coming into my home while I'm at work. I'll clean up the mess and your family will miss you.

FYI all Americans are not clue-less braindead ameriKKKan sheeple like you. So stuff your bias narrow minded opinion straight up your A. S. S.

I said concealed weapons permit should be for law enforcement personnel and security personnel. You can carry a gun in your vechicle without a concealed weapons permit you Big Dummy. You have to obey the three step rule from what local law enforcement has told me. I use to carry my 9mm P85 Ruger in my glove compartment. I had several police inspect the gun "Being Stopped for DWB" and never had an issue with it being in a locked glove compartment without having a bullet cambered. So where am I saying that a person cannot defend themselves. But for all you cowards who think a gun will make you a man. Naw you need to grow the Hell up and stop your trash talking and maybe you wouldn't get what you deserve. A good old fashion A. S. S. whipping. The way I see it you cowards wouls be less likely to talk S.H.I.T. if it weren't for the fact that you need a gun to settle an argument.

So if the Coward fits than you must wear it.

C.O.W.A.R.D. and the leading coward out there in the shrub who by the way never served (that supposed stint in Air Canada A.W.O.L. doesn't Count)in the military. And you were most likely a grunt/ground pounder which takes no intellect to become. In fact the army likes their recruits dumb as Hell. Makes them easier to herd, hence the reason for your being an offical member of the veteran ameriKKKan sheeple.

I WAS CONVICTED OF A FELON AT THE AGE OF 19. I AM 37 YEARS OLD NOW AND I POSSESS A FIREARM. I HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND WILL PROTECT THEM AT ANY COST. I DONT CARRY IT ON THE STREET BUT I DO KEEP IT CLOSE BY AT HOME. MOST OF YOU PEOPLE WHO ARE MAKING COMMENTS HAVE COMMITTED A FELONY BUT JUST DIDNT GET CAUGHT. WHAT MAKES YOU ANY BETTER? I DID MY TIME,PAYED MY DEBT, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY LEARNED FROM MY MISTAKE. THOUH THE CRIME I COMMITTED WAS NOT AN ACT OF VIOLENCE SOMETIMES I AM TREATED AS SUCH. BUT, OH WELL WHO CARES? IM NEVER GOING TO STOP POSESSING A FIREARM UNTIL EVERYONE ELS DOES. ITS PEOPLE OUT HERE WHO POSSESS FIREARMS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN CONVICTED WHO ARE MORE DANGEROUS THEN I.
