Ask the Governor: Can felons regain the right to own guns?

as of 2009 iam a convicted felon and, committed it denfending my self but i am am also veteran, who was aloud to carry a weapon for the six years i served in the military. there wasnt i problem with that .and also the felony .wasnt with a weapon or any thing concealed or . deagerous, so whats reason is for me not to granted a weapon permitt.i served my time IN JAIL AND THE ARMY . and beleive, that aLL MY RIGHTS SHOULD BE RESTORED. I STILL , HAVE PROPERTY , I STILL HAVE ,A FAMILY.AND, IAM NOT TO BEABLE TO PROTECT THEM???OR MY SELF??? BECAUSE IAM A FELON?????????? PLEASE EXCUSE THE SPELLING coviced felon

Another illiterate criminal whining about having to pay the consequences of his crime. Grow up. Face reality. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime. No convicted felon should be be permitted to own a gun. Period. Now go learn to spell simple words, and perhaps your whining will be less offensive.

instead they get a public defender which you can compare to judas,

I am a convicted felon cause some punk kid came a shot up my house and tried to rob me when the police came they violated my civil rights and entered my house without a search warrant and found sum drugs then got there warrant and took me to jail this happened 4th of July 2011 and iam doin 4 years probation for it. Now Saturday December 15 2012 3 guys with masks tried to get in my house 2 of them carrying pistols and 1 carrying an assault riffle they broke my window fired a shot my girl screemed and they took off running and there tellin me I can't have a gun in my house but people keep tryin to hurt us our country is a joke they will not stop me from protecting my family felon or not

You're a convicted felon because you had illegal drugs in your house. No doubt you remain a target because you STILL have illegal drugs in your possession and probably sell them to school children. No, a criminal like you should not have a gun. Ever. In fact, your probation should be revoked and you should be in jail with the rest of the criminals. Your last statement indicates that you plan to also have illegal weapons in your hovel. I hope your probation officer reads these posts, searches your hovel, and you go back to jail. Stop using your parents' irresponsibility as an excuse to be a criminal. Grow up, face the consequences of your bad choices, and hush yourself.
