Erikkson should be tried for more than this. I would love to give prosecutors the name of the young woman who wanted an injunction against her boyfriend. The young woman had psychological problems and when her mother tried to explain that her daughter "just wants this to all be over," Erikkson said, "Okay, then I'm dismissing the case, since you just told me that's what she wants." And he dismissed it. He understood what he was doing. He's just mean.

This guy's head may be too big for his own good, but I'd rather have more judges like him that keep the scum off of our streets instead of the other way around.

He is a bully who runs the playground called a court!!! What do bullies do when they dont get their way the dole out punishment! Hey wait a minute, this isnt a playground its a court room, and the last I checked the USA have rights given to everyone. Of course you have the right to ask for another judge without fear of some power monging judge making you pay dearly for exercising your rights! Bury this guy for interfering with the Constitution and for violating his oath to uphold the Constitution!!!!

This is yet another example of the complete idiocy in the Seminole County system. I wrote a few weeks back about how strict, and power-abusive these Seminole Judges are and I am glad to see a panel of action being brought against him.
He is a traffic judge for the most part. While he's sitting on his thrown abusing his power, crime in Sanford is approaching all time highs. I hope he gets his.

I know a couple of people who have gone before this guy and "fair" or definitely not in his vocabulary.

He seems to have a hearing problem as well.

They should have advertised so that every person who has been treated unfairly in his courtroom could have come forward.

And this is the reason in every election where the ballot asks should Judge John Doe be retained I always answer NO, I don't care who the judge is. The longer a judge is a judge the more God like their delusions become. We've got to have judges but there ought to be term limits on them.

I've had experience with several judges of Eighteenth district with a divorce/child support case dating back to 98. There have been cases of improper behavior, ignoring evidence, in which my ex committed fraud and perjury, to preventing me my constitutional rights to pro-se representation. They think that by putting black robes on, they become some kind of god, and can do whatever it is that they please. Reporting them to JQC will accomplish absolutely nothing, in that they turn a blind eye to improper/illegal behavior of these crooks. It's time they be held accountable for their actions by an outside, citizen run organization, which has the power to not only fine them or jail them, but remove them from these postions that they are placed in by the CITIZENS!

What a sad state seminole county, remember Judge Sloop anther fine example of a fair and balaced seminole county judge. What is wrong with seminole county oh thats right its a majority republican county so this is the type of judge they prefer another poster got it right put away 100 innocent people rather than have one guilty one get away what a screwed up way to run the so called justice system.

Yep, I remember Sloop. I took a friend there for a traffic violation, and this guy was off his rocker. Granted some of the idiots he yelled at deserved it, but most didn't. He was basically belittling almost every person that stood in front of him.

In my opinion based upon working in the legal profession and seeing these things first hand, Judge Eriksson has the disturbing trait of appearing distracted and bored, as if he doesn't care and doesn't want to pay attention to the facts. I have not noticed him being mean but I have seen him being impatient on many occasions. I would not want to have a case before him. Another judge I'm skeptical about is Clayton Simmons. Seems as if he can't follow the facts of a trial. I have personally witnessed him misunderstanding clearly presented facts and making decisions in error. I seen the faces of shocked plaintiffs and defendants who have been treated as inferior subjects by this judge. He's another I wouldn't want to have hear my case. Comes across as openly arrogant and gives the impression of having an extreme superiority complex. I'm not a judge, but based upon my knowledge and the knowledge of the attorneys I've seen in his courtroom, his judgment is flawed. He is on his way to becoming another Sloop. IMO all proceedings in front of any judge should be recorded by a court reported. No matter how little or how much is at stake, use a court reporter. It's worth the money.

This is the same judge, if I'm not mistaken, who let that baby thief out of jail. She was the lady who stole a baby from the Sanford area hospital and got caught an hour later on I-4. This judge released her a couple of days later. Thankfully another judge was smart enough to lock her up on another violation.
