Would someone tell us his B.A.L.?
If he wasn't driving while drinking i offer my heartfelt feelings of sadness to his family.
If he was D.U.I. it saved some innocent from being killed in the future.

"He was not wearing a seat belt". Always the same saying lately when someone dies in their car. They don't always save lives, there are instances where there just is nothing that can save your life, but more often then not, it can save your life. Wear them.

I was there, he was drunk. Lots of empty cans around the car. Also he was thrown very far from the car indicating an extremely high rate of speed.

People should withhold comments on people they do not know. Mike Tabares was not Puerto Rican, however he was someones son, someones brother and the ignorance displayed by your comments is immeasurable. His family is going through overwhelming greif and the commentary of those who have no understanding or no knowledge of this accident should consider that this could happen to any family. My prayers and support are with the Tabares family.

Although I did not know this man, my attention was brought to this tragedy for the wrong reasons. With people commenting in such a disrespectful manner, I can't help but wonder why. This was a person who died, as real as any of your family members or friends. Such disgraceful comments should be suppressed, and never should leave the confines of your sick and damaged minds. My prayers and support goes out as well; regardless of who he is or was, comments like those at the top are unnecessary.

Suppose he had served in the military since he was 18, would opinions change? He was an AMERICAN, it doesn't matter what race he is. I'm sure all of you are some type of immigrant that another race would love to pick apart. Refrain from a racist joke for once, work a little harder.

Thankfully he didn't kill any innocent families in the process of removing his flawed DNA from the gene pool. Too much Puerto Rican trash causing chaos on our roads.

Why does the Sentinel even open forums on stories like this? What's the point? People are just going to be crass. Someone died. Does it really require a discussion?
well - originally - in this case I guess it would be for the friends and family of this family to leave comments of encouragement, or support - but apparently a good portion of the people who read this article aren't mature enough to be respectful and leave respectful and or encouraging comments - and don't have enough self control to keep their obnoxious, racist and heartless comments to themselves!

Mike was a good guy. To the people using this as some sort of way to talk trash I wish you would just grow up. How would you feel if this was your family member?! His family just lost a son, brother, friend and you're using this as place to bad mouth him? Give some respect.

I understand that may have been the original intent, but family and friends can now post on a special guestbook that can be accessed from the obituary.

If this is the person I belive it to be he was an only child. He is leaving behind a mother a new wife and a new baby. My heart is broken over this and I pray there is an after life that he will live on.
