Now if this don't beat all. State Attorney Jeff Ashton sent a letter to the Expressway Authority telling them to halt the hiring of St Rep Steve Precourt because he has reviewed his hiring process and believes something is just not right.
Well guess what Mr Ashton, a lot of people "glory in your spunk" for having the courage to bring this corruption to light. Others have tried and failed. Harvey Massey even wrote a letter to then Gov Charlie Crist begging him to order a real investigation into the operations of this monster and Jeb stopped that before it was started. Google "Ray Lemme" FDOT IG Inspector and get the facts on his demise.
One of the dissenting board members even lamented how hard they had worked to clean up the corruption within the authority - all fell on deaf ears.
Jeff might want to do a little home work learn who is really pulling the strings to make post turtles out of the likes of Steve Precourt.
Orange County might have a large Democratic leaning - but Tallahassee and Jeb Bush Dade County Republicans is running things where the money is like this.
Why do you think after eight months Gov Rick Scott comes to town today to appoint Eduardo Fernandez Clerk of the Court?
Why do you think Rick Scott appointed 40 year old Carlos Lopez-Cantera Lt Gov? Because in 2004 at the ripe age of 30 Lopez-Cantera was listed on the George W. Bush for President website as being supported by Jeb and George and the Republican Party of Florida as a must have supporter.
When you walk the walk and talk the talk for the Bush machine you shall be rewarded. If Precourt's job was one appoint-able by the Gov - Rick Scott would have anointed him qualified or not and there is nothing anyone can do. You watch they will force Jeff Ashton to turn his head on this organized corruption!
If things really go sour the Bush machine will move in on Orange County with their little Clint Curtis vote fixer chips and the Republicans will take over total control of Orange County, Sheriff and all.

so what will happen here? will jeb bush drop a dime on his governor rick scott and tell him to remind state attorney jeff ashton that he (scott) can remove ashton from office and appoint someone that is more user friendly to the bush machine?
if we see ashton mellowing on these allegations we will know he is in the process of making them go away.
