Actually the car payments that he claims to have made were made by Pam and myself. He used the money that we loaned him to make those payments.

Sad story, but...

Ladies, the first major alarm with any guy you're dating is "I have a financial emergency; give/loan me some money."

Alaram number 2: "I've got some things going on so I can't see you - for the 3rd, 4th, 5th, nth time."

Alarm number 3: "I have no place of my own - because of some "circumstances" - why don't I just move in with you?"

Guys like this seem to know how to find women who, for whatever reason, tend to believe that which is unbelievable.

I hope this scumbsg gets his, and I don't mean his tax rebate check. Dirty bastard!

I've known Betty for over 5 years and was so happy for her when she met Rob. He seemed like the man of her dreams and she deserved that. It breaks my heart that she and these other women were taken advantage of and hurt by this scumbag.

I've been there for her through this whole ordeal and eventhough the reporter did a great job helping to get the story out, this clip was only the tip of the iceberg. These ladies could and SHOULD write a book!

I agree...why would you ever go out with someone you met online at that! They could be a serial killer and you wouldn't know! And to boot send them money??? Come on...you should never get that involved with someone you don't know. If someone seems "too good to be true" it probably isn't true. Scott Peterson gave the same story...he was traveling and just couldn't be there all the while he's grieving the missing wife that he killed. Doesn't anyone ever learn?????

What has happened to women these days that meet men on line and plan to marry them....? I agree with Dapper Dave... there were warning signs... I don't think I could swear my love and life to someone I talked to over the internet... Let alone send them a dime. If they are "in love" with me... they will be sending ME plane tickets to visit them and prove that they are who they say they are before there is any talk of love and marraige. On the internet ... they can read through your words and identify exactly what it is you want/need to hear. Come on ladies... lets not be so desperate and throw away our lives to spend it with a man who is playing 10+ women at the same time. Such a shame. I am sorry for them women who became involved with him... and yes he is a scumbag and I hope he gets his just rewards... Plaster his face all over the internet and any and all id's and emails he is utilizing... although I am sure he has many that nobody knows about or he will create new ones.

Hopefully you are smart enough to end contact with him. Better yet, tell the cops where he is.

They could have easily checked this guy out online and found his criminal past, as well as any property owned or licenses held. I feel sorry they were scammed out of the money, but good grief people don't be so trusting.

I'm not so sure women are all that interested in meeting "nice guys". They seem to be forever throwing themselves at, or chasing after, bad boys, cool guys, thug boys, gansta rappers, druggies, rocker types, rebels, etc.

I have a female doctor friend (43 years old) who was dating a really nice guy - kinda plain looking, a tad overweight (not fat), but a real gentleman - who was crazy about her. So what does she do? She dumps him for a tall, good looking, animal in bed (her words), slender, nearly illiterate, 32-year old bum she picked up in a club, who proceeds to cheat on her, run up her credit cards, borrow and steal money from her and, in general treat her like dirt.

It's not universally true, but, for some reason, many women prefer unsavory guys. The theory being they find guys like this to be more "exciting".
