I'm just wallowing in a little self-pity this morning.
Heck, if we are going to get together let's do more than
coffee and candy...

:)
I hope you feel better now Ruby. Sometimes we just have to give ourselves a good shake and a talking to.

You do have a lot of cyber friends who love your wit and sense of humor.

Anyone ever notice the pictures of the people who are on the Orlando dating site on the right? Now why would those people need to go on a dating site to get a date? Most of them are not bad looking people. I don't see why they would need a computer site to help them get a date.

Hubby's home. He only spent that one night and day in hospital. I'm thankful for that.
:-)
Great news Tmom~~
I hope you and your family have a great Christmas.
I know you're relieved about your hubby.
Don't forget to take care of YOU, too!!

I think it's more a matter of being in love with the IDEA of
being in love.
I dread to think it could be a pedophile duping women, not for
the woman herself, but preying on her children.
Remember the book/movie, Where the Heart Is?
Yeah. The idea.
That other scares the chit out of me too.
I do know a couple of women whose home is a revolving door with the boyfriends. I think they are idiots. I have a few years and they'll be grown...then I can act like a whore LOL.

Thanks Tmom. Merry Christmas.
That is good news!

Are you going to be able to have all your kids together for Christmas? I know it can be hard for everybody to come together at the same time sometimes with work school and whatnot.

Did you meet Joy online? What was that like?

P.S.
I'm sorry about your other account. It was not my intent to have it banned...although, I did laugh out loud.

I'm glad you feel better. I don't think families today are as close as we once were or maybe that's just my perception. I think people today are too busy, distracted by tv, phones, computers and their jobs. I miss my family that way, and I don't even have the distance issue you have, except with my oldest sister.

YW JaneDear!

I'm sure mine will be in and out. Two are still living here. The other two will come by whether it's early, late or whenever. I understand young people love to party and visit other friends and family.

I hope Santa is good to you and your girls.

Love that movie. I even got my husband and kids too watch that one, and they liked it too.

I think that is why my mother hardly ever let us spend the night with other people. She let kids spend the night with us, but most of my friend's mothers were younger than my mother and dated (had that revolving door thing going on).

I realized when I got older my mother was one smart lady.

Thanks tribe mom.
I am the lucky one to have great children and
step children.
I am trying very hard to make this Christmas one
to remember.
I want to give Mr.Mouse the best Christmas he can
have. So I am having as many of his family coming

Good Morning All

I don't know who said it now but If I was a child of a single Mom I highly doubt I'd appreciate her dating or having some strange guy hanging around the house.
Being a single parent and trying to balance the kids academic and extra curricular activities takes time and energy. I just can't see wasting those resources on a man.
There's plenty of time for that stuff when the kids are grown and out of the house.

I agree about the self esteem issues since she felt the need to use someone else's picture. I couldn't hear the video I just read about the story. Was she honest about everything else and just lied about her appearance? She was wrong to lie however he's pretty shallow as well if he broke everything off just because of her appearance.

Yes, I read the book before seeing the movie~~
It is one of the most depressing books I've ever
read. That poor little girl didn't stand a chance
being surrounded by a bunch of dysfunctional adults
who ALLOWED it to continue. she didn't stand a chance...

I'm going to be the devil's advocate this morning, Liz~~
I think the self-esteem issue is a crock of doodoo.

I dont think he broke it off because of the way she looks. I think he broke it off because she lied. Their whole relationship started off with a lie.

If you're promised a steak dinner

going to be pretty upset. If you're really
hungry you might eat the crackers, but it just won't be the same.

If you haven't read it and need a good laugh...this book is great!
