Looks better than a lot of yards I've seen with just dead grass and weeds.

They are an example of self sufficiency and resourcefulness.

Unfortunately, they are also an example of our liberal left politicians trying to shut down anyone who exhibits anything other than dependency on big government to provide what they 'need'.

A frakkin vegetable garden is a federal case now?
How about leaving peaceful citizens alone and go do what they were elected for?

Our justice system is a revolving door for career criminals and THIS is the most important thing?

Somehow, an attack on the rights of the individual, for their failure to conform to the wishes and structure of the majority.....

Most people who plant like this are liberal, hippie through-backs. Stereotyping isn't the issue here. And not all dems are looking for handouts either. In fact, most aren't. All the democrats I know are very hard working people just trying to make it just like everyone see. There are several Republicans I know though who work under the table, don't pay taxes, steal and both are collecting SSI. Some people are just losers. Doesn't matter what their political affiliations are. But more people should learn to be self-sufficient. I plant a vegetable garden every year. I can tomatoes, dry herbs and love to make fresh pesto.

I did not mention Democrat or Republican; I mentioned liberals. As far as these people are concerned, I hope they ARE hippy freak progressives because now they are getting a taste of the nanny-state that they all seem to worship.

I think I'm a moderate. The older I get, the more conservative I get about some things and vice versa on others.
