Are you absolutely certain he was human? I mean do we have any indication as to what his family's financial situation is?

This was a cowardly act by Zimmerman. He was nothing but a neighborhood watch dog. This shooting was not justified and this young man's family is seeking justice. Are there any strong black men who will stand with the father for his son?

Calling something what it is does not constitute prejudice. I'm sure you can google the crime rates in Sanford, FL. If despising drug dealers, thugs and gangbangers equals prejudice, color me guilty. If despising people who choose to be drains on the taxpayers is prejudice, color me guilty again. Eliminate the handout programs and 99% of those people would get a J O B. Stop being soft on crime and the dealers, thugs and gangbanger would either be dead or in jail where they belong. Unlike you who stick up for the dregs of society, I live in the real world, where there are people who don't even deserve to be called human because they live like animals.

Fla. needs to pass a "safe not sorry" legislation.

This would allow anyone to shoot anyone if it was suspected he was armed or had a look in his eye that
just didn't seem right-cops have been doing this for years.

If two or more citizens declare a person to have terroristic behavior, let em have it.

If a young person is seen with a large sum of money, YOU KNOW they didn't earn it, let em have it.

Got a hoodie up, stranger in your neighborhood?
Don't wait for them to strike.. you know what to do.

ROFL!!!!! What an idiotic argument. Because I DO live in the real world, not a fantasy land of imaginary beings and silly, impossible stories, that's the reason for my opinions on criminals and drains on society?? How ridiculous. If your precious churches and you religious folk were doing your job of providing charity, it wouldn't have to be legislated would it??? Hypocrite.

What a great idea!!!! We could clean up our streets and town in no time if we didn't have to wait for the criminals to harm someone before we did something about them! ;)

If you and your "strong black brothers" would take care of your families, there would be far fewer of you in prison, and people wouldn't have to fear seeing a young black man on their street. "Strong black me" have failed to provide positive examples for their sons/nephews/whatever and therefore have failed your "black sisters". Pay your child support, be involved in the lives of the kids you spawn, get a job, live within the law. THAT'S what black kids need from "strong black men". They need EXAMPLES.

Bill Cosby said something very similar and was vilified for it. In my opinion, he is a strong man and an example to everyone. Notice I did not use any other adjectives except for 'strong'? Why does a black kid need a black man as a role model? Why can't they look up to Bill Gates, or Sam Walton, Richard Branson, or anyone else that is a model for success?

As I said, they don't need to use the race card, everyone is on their side.
Do you think a 17 year old white kid walking with skittles and ice tea would have been deemed suspicious and murdered by this guy. Who was Zimmerman referring to when he said "they get away with everything"? Do you think he was talking about a young white kid, I don't think so?

Reality check. Sanford is a largely black community with a very high crime rate, and most of that crime is committed by young black men. It is long past time for the black community to take responsibility for the actions of their own. Black men need to man up and be an example for their kids, especially their sons. Black women need to demand it from their men. And parents MUST take accountability for their kids.

To my knowledge, this man has not been charged with anything. As far as considering the kid suspicious, yes, in Sanford a young black man who is a stranger would definitely be suspicious and bear watching by a neighborhood watch. I will agree with all that the guy should have let the police address the issue and not taken it into his own hands. I do still wonder about something that all those who want to hang this guy without even hearing his side are choosing to ignore, which is HOW Mr. Zimmerman got injured on the BACK of his head. The answer to that simple question could explain a whole lot of what happened, but none of you want to hear it because you know damn well that an injury to the back of the man's head HAD to have come from the kid in some way, and you REFUSE to recognize that the kid likely was violent with Mr. Zimmerman which precipitated his fear for his life and the shooting.

It was a guy with a police record, with a gun shooting an unarmed 17 year old kid. Zimmerman is a frustrated non-cop, police-itis. It was murder.

So you were there? You saw what happened? You're the expert? I think not. I think you're just looking for trouble just like the rabble-rousers who are coming in from out of town to see if they can start a riot.

Oh by the way, I had a peek at sweet innocent little Trayvon's Facebook page. Little thug is what he was, and I'm even more convinced that he attacked Zimmerman without knowing that the guy had a gun. SURPRISE!

Mr. Tired and silly, I don't know about tired but you are one silly nutcase! You been spewing some really silly stuff on this board. I won't try to address the many silly things you've posted, but just my two cents.

You haven't experienced the criminal justice system from our point of view, so most of what you say is because you cannot relate. It's just called ignorance. Not calling you any name, now.(I still stand by nutcase, though).

You speak of Zimmerman's injuries and violence toward him. Well, to me they would be injuries incurred from someone fighting for his life. To me, he should be more injured but it also goes to the fact that the killer outweighed his victim by more than 100 pounds.

You and the police are willing to give the killer every leeway. I'm not, nor should I. I do not have to wait for anything else. I can form a reasonable and intelligent assessment of this situation based on the facts and evidence we now have. You act as though we have to wait further. We do not. The killer's rights of due process and other rights are for the government to abide by.

It has nothing to do with the community forming its own opinions. God help us all if we had to wait for the outcome of police investigations to form our own opinions!

This all can be reduced to one simple fact: the killer could just have heeded the words of the authorities and not gotten involved any further. Neighborhood Watch is NOT Neighborhood Kill.

My sense is because of, and despite, the local police ineptness and partiality in this case, the Feds will charge this killer with Civil Rights violations and there will be a civil suit by the family, as it should be.

Mr. Zimmerman is responsible for his actions and should suffer the consequences. There is no free pass for killing an innocent child walking from the local store...no matter what reason one's mind can convolute (suspicious) or the child's skin color!

If you cannot understand that, then you are wrapped too tight or not enough and you are stupidly ignorant!(now, I am calling you names, deservedly so if it applies).

Your opening statement is that I have not experienced the criminal justice system from your point of view. Since I have no idea what your point of view IS, except that you believe it to be impossible that this little gangster (and yes, that's what he was, I saw the pics that mommy and daddy AREN'T publishing, the ones where he has the stupid underwear hanging out of his pants while he flips the bird with both hands) may have initiated the attack on Zimmerman and brought on his own demise. I submit that this is the most likely scenario. Zimmerman gets out of his car and approaches the stranger in his neighborhood, a stranger whose attire and attitude are a lot like the ones who have been causing problems in said neighborhood, and asks him who he is and what he's doing there. Little thug attacks him, knocks him down (the only logical way he would have the BACK of his head injured) and rightfully, Mr. Zimmerman fears for his life. Little thugs are often armed. He had no way to know that this one wasn't. Thugboy didn't know that Mr. Z. was the one who was armed, and got a bullet for his trouble and attitude. I've no doubt that the parents will sue....."hey our kid's dead, but we can get RICHHHHHHHHHHHH on it." Bottom line is that is was the kid who was held accountable for his actions. Too bad he was too stupid to just give the guy his name and who he was visiting in a polite tone of voice. I'd be willing to bet that that's ALL he had to do to avoid this whole thing, but hey, little thugs don't think they have to show respect. Bet he wished he had when that bullet hit him.

HA!

Need I say anymore? Your post(s) speaks volumes. Any rational person can view your diatribes with the scorn it deserves.

I understand exactly where you are coming from and any more responses to you are fruitless and a waste of my precious time.

As the generations pass, you and your ilk are a vanishing breed. Soon you'll be an endangered species and the world will be so much the better for it. Until then, you can spew all you want. The red line is when you try to take action on those views.

Go ahead, worship Zimmerman all you want. He's gonna need all the pen pals for the short and humiliating time you'll be paying his expenses to be in the luxury suites of your state, and possibly, federal penal system.

There is no need for you to respond to me, as I will never have anything else to say to you.

Good day and God bless!

Worship Zimmerman? I think not, I don't even know the man. I don't know anyone who lives in Sanford, thank goodness. I certainly won't be writing to a prisoner, should he become one. As for paying his expenses....it's likely we would have been paying the little thug's expenses as his violence escalated, so it's a wash. Oh, and stick your imaginary "god" into the underwear you have hanging out of your pants. You're just another thug, that's obvious. Here's a clue for you and YOUR ilk....decent people are tired of thugs holding neighborhoods hostage. There will be more and more people like Zimmerman who stand up to you and end your tyranny.
