This supports my theory on Norplanting young people to keep them from breeding until they show they are capable of feeding, housing, counseling, etc. the child(ren). This mother?(birth giver) has probably sentenced her child to hell, or at least a punk in prison for life,, because she knew she could get money for crack by having kids. Our liberal feel-bad society promotes this money for breeding mind-set and we will continue to see MORE of this instead of less until we stop rewarding drug addicted mothers with irresponsible breeding. OK liberals, now call me a Nazi like you love to do. And tell me nobody has the right to say who can breed or who can't.
Your are so on target.....no one wants to say who can have children and who can't, but look hard at our world today...something is wrong real wrong. It's the drugs and these children born to the drug use all day and night. These drug using parents are bringing children into the world that cannot cope or deal with anyhting and expect everything for nothing. They have to fend for themselves live and learn from the streets and their drug addict/drug dealer friends their parents hang with. To a 8/9 year old sellings drugs makes more money than being honest and working towards a real goal in life.

There are so many issues involved in this story. Having been born to a crack addicted mother, how much of that caused his behavioral problems? Having no parents, how much of that is at fault? It sounds like this child had no supervision and was running wild, what is surprising about the outcome? Why do the courts run so slowly, the attitude is very lazy it seems to me. This child fell through the cracks and now society wants to blame him and make him the only one responsible for what has happened. It is a way for society to get off the hook, chunk it off on a child. Sentencing this boy to life in prison will serve no purpose and will not benefit society in any way. Studies show prison is no deterrent in juveniles. He is too young to even comprehend what life in prison means, a very dangerous place for a child, and after the first 6 months, it won't be punishment, it will be warehousing. A society that chooses warehousing over rehabilitation, is on the decline. Especially warehousing children in dangerous environments. Isolation is cruel. The victim's family rightfully is looking for revenge, as is expected, but the justice system is not built as a personal vengeance machine. It is to be tempered with mercy and compassion and for a child, it is absolutely necessary for a civilized society to shine.
GIVE ME A BREAK ! This "child" is a cold hearted killer. Did you read what his response was after he had been charged with murder ?!?! He said, "I will be out in 21 days". That is all he thought about...not the innocent victim and certainly no remorse. This guy has nothing to offer this world except for crime and bloodshed.
You want to know what purpose it would serve to give him life in prison ?? Are you this stupid ?!?! He is a danger to society and a threat to the community. There is no rehabilitation for him. However, make an example out of him and maybe deter some other young thugs.
I have no sympathy for this guy or his family. If it were up to me, he would not live another day.

So you think Jessica Lunsford should have been raped?
BIG DIFFERENCE. Jessica Lunsford was an innocent child. She was not a cold blooded killer. She was not on drugs. She was not a thief and she had not threatened to kill her family.

Corey Steplight is all of the above. He deserves what ever torment comes his way.

I must say, this is about the meanest, most despicable group of people I have ever encountered. I have never heard such horribly mean comments in my life. I would choose that little boy over any of you disgusting grown adults any day of the week. You people have no excuse, at least he has one. Florida has really gone down the tubes.

Florida is on the decline, that is why I go elsewhere to vacation. There are many nice beaches where the people are much more civilized. I'll bet this child never had a day at Disneyworld.

So what! I'm glad we're viewed the way we are. You, France and the rest of the Islamofascist appeasers are nothing but a bunch of sniveling cowards! History shows that we had to bail France's sorry tuchus out on more than one occasion. Every time they start something that they cannot finish, they look to US to bail them out. Sniveling weasels.
If it were up to your kind, women in the U.S> will be wearing burkas in the next decade.

You are sooo right on. This girl who you responded to needs to leave the country immediately, it's like a cancer to our country's survival.

Thank God you are not coming to FL. One less naive bleeding heart idiot to have to drive slow here. Too bad you don't have as much sympathy for the senselessly murdered guy as you do for the little murderer. You ideals are totally backwards. Maybe we should send him to your house, I'd bet you'd only live a week, two tops.

Your post makes me wonder what you think a "man" is! Here is a clue: It isn't some wannabe gangsta languishing in prison at the taxpayers expense.

This is for 99% of you loosers on here!
"Kill them All, Let God Sort it out!"
If we got rid of you then we could release all those poor Undereducated, simple people cooped up in prisons to live in your homes! They probably wouldnt want to live in them any more than the ones they were made to live in for these past years. But I think you people know the truth! "Loosers always loose" Thats why you are all the way you are! I think that maybe we should open the gates of all mental Institutions an let the good people out! Then Put all of you in there where you belong!

So Jimmy I guess that means you are unable to explain why your prisoner buddy is such a "man" - didn't think you could.

Well, then step up to the plate and offer to take him into your home where you will care for him, rehabilitate him, and put him on the path to good and righteousness. I completely agree that children aren't always dealt a good hand, but there's ample opportunity in life to learn what is right and what is wrong, be it from your parents or elsewhere. You can only blame your own poor decisions on your childhood, parents, society, etc for so long. As someone else mentioned, plenty of people came from those environments and used it as a source of inspiration to better themselves as opposed to following in the footsteps and down a worse path. I'll be interested to read your opinion after your newly adopted son, Corey Steplight, holds a knife to your throat or to the throat of your own children because you've told him he cant meet his pals in the back yard to smoke crack. The "bleeding heart" phrase will take on a whole new meaning if you don't give in like grandma did.

All I've seen in your posts is opinionated bull with absolutely no supporting statements or evidence. Just what makes us "losers" and you and your hoodlum friends "winners"? I know it's probably a lost concept on you, but I didn't come from the wealthiest or perfectly functional family, but I was taught the valuable lesson that I work for what I want, as opposed to taking the life of an innocent person to gain material possesions. If that's a loser to you, I'll wear that "L" with pride. You ARE the company you keep and the very fact that you're visiting a "real man of 22 yrs" in prison sums it up quite nicely.
