What do you wear and how long have you been wearing it?

Perfumes have really bothered me allergy wise for years.

I have a nice sandalwood sented soap that doesn't bother me but I can't seem to find a cologne that is similar.

Can't. Asthma. Did you try a health food store? Sometimes they have essential oils. I like patchouli, myself.

Now I have a mental picture of you sitting by the lava lamp, wearing a nehru jacket and a peace sign necklace waiting for your boyfriend to pull up in the Volkswagen van to pick you up to go to the non-violent on-campus sit-in protest against some cause-du-jour...

LOL

I like patchouli also but even essential oils can be too strong for my sinuses.

I was at a drs office and the women next to me smelled so good I asked her what she was wearing, went to the department store immediately upon leaving, tried a tester of the same thing and it smelled TERRIBLE.

It's hard to find something that works.

I wore "Morning Dew" by Annie Oakley for years. Got lots of compliments on it, but then they changed the damn formula or removed some component from it. All I know is that it's not the same and my hubby agreed with me. It's much weaker and dissipated almost as soon as I put it on. It also had a strong alcohol base to it. I've been switching around to different scents ever since and have not found my signature scent as yet. Some sales clerk at a department store talked me into purchasing 'Juicy Couture' and I don't really like it now, although the bottle is pretty. I wore the perfume to my mother's one day and she didn't like it either. I was wearing my old favorite - L'Air Du Temps but it's so common and dated. I never tired of Morning Dew, though and it didn't bother my allergies at all. As for some the essential oils, I also tried those. Someone told me it smelled similar to Raid, ugh.

I wore anais anais years ago and bought some last year.
Either the formula has changed or my chemistry has because it doesn't smell as good.

They must only do this to women cos Old Spice still smells the same!

Anyone ever notice how groups of fragrances have the same underlying scent?
Like all Avon cologne kind of smells the same.
And even high end stuff too?
I was snorting some different LancĂ´me stuff yesterday and noticed they do also.

A true hippie makes their own sandals from old tires.

I remember reading it in a book my way cool older brother had called Steal This Book.

Has anyone read "Off the Grid"? Can you make your own bread, grow your own garden, make your own clothes? Do you want to learn?
