"green" has become a political vehicle for Socialists because so many unwitting tree-hugging boobs are so easily moved and manipulated by their fine-tuned emotionalism. It's a lot like those late nite TV ads for Saving The Children. "98% for my 'overhead' and 2% for the damned kids" sort of stuff.
Al Gore could raise millions for starving indigent squirrels and recieve another Nobel Prize for it but never mind his growing bankroll as a result:)
"The amount of Solar Energy reaching Earth each day is enough to run civilization for an entire year" bullshit hasn't been heard too much lately. Maybe folks are wising up?
The amount of Solar Energy released each second is enough to have powered mankind's civilization from before recorded history and into the eternal future.
But so what? We can't capture it.
Consider that Solar Energy that greenie's talk about reaching the Earth. Detract the cloud covered areas plus those areas at extreme angles. Next, detract those areas that will never be
used for collecting Solar Energy: the Earth's great mountain ranges from the Himalayans to the Peruvian Andes and all the in between. Solar Collectors in Antartica and the North Pole? Nope.
Now the Earth's surface is three fourth's water. Are we going to cover it all with Solar Collectors blocking shipping lanes and killing critical plankton food sources?
What surface area is then left for use when you next consider the impractical, exorbitantly expensive attempts to Solar Collect across cities, homes, pristine Environmental Reserves and infrastructure?
This is just a very tiny sliver of the untruths falsely promulgated by the Al Gore types.
Following Li Ion batteries, Solar Cells or Solar Storage Facilities from the mining through to the manufacturing and then the recycling costs and you will find that "green" is an emotional
hype that works on clueless boobs but deeply and insanely frustrates those who truly want to pursue clean energy.
Solar power advocates should visit the Ivanpah Solar Power Facility in the Mohave Desert to view massive environmental destruction on a scale beyond comprehension....before the plant even operates...

okay so tell me how did you feel about President Reagan as a weak, indecisive President?
He sent the Marines into Lebanon, but refused us to allow us to unload our tanks. We couldn't carry our M-16's loaded. The oval office interferred with military decisions.
and what exactly was his response after the barracks bombing???
he cut and ran, we were not allowed to go after those responsible.
you know what GFY, I lost some buddies there.
Reagan was a chickensh!t piece of crap. Granada and Panama were jokes. More medals were awarded then troops involved. Bush II used that as a model, only he managed to pick an enemy that was far more capable and actually had planned for us attacking Iraq. Osama bin Laden had checkmated President Dumbya long before we invaded

What "words in the bill"? Prove it.
Good grief, here is the BILL...

http://housedocs.house.gov/energycommerce/ppa... .

The sucky act was so concern about preventive measures and expanding coverage while limiting other coverage such as dental and eye care standards to bare minimal. The bill totally avoided guaranteeing that people would be able to continue their current standard of care. Hey, who cares about the middle class fools who paid for insurance for years getting stripped of current meds and treatments?

Further reading..
http://thehealthcareblog.com/blog/2012/06/15/...

The whole billing system is a disaster (see above) and insurers are adopting an uniform standard making those who are insured match a standard of care comparable to Medicaid and Medicare rules.

My sister meds are no longer being paid for as it is not covered in these rules.

But hey, Mary Poppins, you will deny this reality until you or yours get hit hard with this reality.

Hmmm interesting, so how about decapitating terrorist on video, is that perfectly acceptable???

how about planting bombs in public areas to kill a "terrorist" along with innocent civilians. is that acceptable too?

I find it absolutely full of bull that you would defend someone who plotted and executed terrorist attacks against the U.S. who was finally killed in a drone strike.

sorry but engaging in torture is not acceptable. That is what separates us from terrorists.

taking out a sworn enemy of the U.S., who has plotted and executed numerous attacks against us is perfectly fine with me when engaging in asysmetrical warfare.

those of us in the know, know that torture does not provide intel. it only provides unreliable BS

The irony and the hypocrisy of Dems wanting to delay Obamacare after they closed down the government when the Reps suggested it.

However, the bell has rung-everyone already knows they will be loosing their insurance and previous coverage of certain medical treatments and meds are being cut.

The Dems delaying it will have NO effect on the negativity.

I don't understand how anyone who served in the U.S. military can equate someone who joined a champagne unit of the Air National Guard (which is under the jurisdiction of a state Governor and assigned to lower-risk duty inside the United States) to actual military service.

General Colin Powell: "I am angry that so many sons of the powerful and well placed and many professional athletes (who were probably healthier than any of us) managed to wangle slots in Reserve and National Guard units. Of the many tragedies of Vietnam, this raw class discrimination strikes me as the most damaging to the ideal that all Americans are created equal and owe equal allegiance to our country."

FACT: It wasn't until the "Total Force Policy" of 1973 that active and reserve military organizations were treated as a single integrated force.
