"Frankly, I don't know what it is about California, but we seem to have a strange urge to elect really obnoxious women to high office. I'm not bragging, you understand, but no other state, including Maine, even comes close. When it comes to sending left-wing dingbats to Washington, we're Number One. There's no getting around the fact that the last time anyone saw the likes of Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, Maxine Waters, and Nancy Pelosi, they were stirring a cauldron when the curtain went up on 'Macbeth'. The four of them are like jackasses who happen to possess the gift of blab. You don't know if you should condemn them for their stupidity or simply marvel at their ability to form words."

It was like 9/11 was the beginning of the end of our solidarity and shared values in just being Americans.

The atrocities - which were horrific - inflicted on born alive full-term babies by this abortion doctor would shed a bad light on abortion and Planned Parenthood.
It's better to keep liberals in the dark on such issues. They might just think for themselves and step out of line.
This is more true than they want to believe. Otherwise, why have the mainstream remained silent on this story?

Patricia Maisch, a hero of the Tucson shooting that left six dead and another 13 wounded, including former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), was escorted by police out of the Capitol Wednesday for telling senators that they should be ashamed of themselves for blocking a provision requiring background checks for gun sales.
Maisch was one of those that tackled Jared Loughner while he was attempting to reload. I'm guessing a room full of professional cowards wasn't too intimidating, after that.

Outside the Senate chamber, she was surrounded by reporters. "When I was told it was done, I decided that I could not stay still any longer, that they need to be ashamed of themselves," Maisch said. "They have no souls. They have no compassion for the experiences that people have lived through ...

Also escorted out for shouting at the senators was Lori Haas, whose daughter was wounded in the Virginia Tech shootings.

Oh, not so fast! You're doing a super job of self destructing yourselves; and, you have your crazy radio guys to boost you further into extinction:
Minnesota radio host Bob Davis last week said last Friday he would like to personally tell the families in Newtown, Connecticut whose children were murdered to “go to hell.”
On his show Davis & Emmer, which is broadcast by Twin Cities News Talk AM 1130, he attacked the families of those killed in the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School for speaking in support of stricter gun laws.
“I have something I want to say to the victims of Newtown, or any other shooting,” Davis said.“I don’t care if it’s here in Minneapolis or anyplace else. Just because a bad thing happened to you doesn’t mean that you get to put a king in charge of my life. I’m sorry that you suffered a tragedy, but you know what? Deal with it, and don’t force me to lose my liberty, which is a greater tragedy than your loss. I’m sick and tired of seeing these victims trotted out, given rides on Air Force One, hauled into the Senate well, and everyone is just afraid — they’re terrified of these victims.”
“I would stand in front of them and tell them,‘go to hell,’” he added.

Lily, with all due respect, one of the biggest problems radical liberals have is wearing their emotions on their sleeve without thinking with their heads.

Having genuine empathy and compassion is possible without losing your ability to reason and think rationally in the process.

Nothing could have prevented the tragedy in Newton. Maybe if you would be more quick to look at what might be causing our younger generation to snap instead of chipping away Americans' rights who aren't comitting crimes, your outrage would be more credible.

It's a programmed kind of head empathy most of you liberals have rather than heartfelt empathy.

It's a knee jerk politically motivated reaction kind of empathy that isn't very convincing, as much as I hate to say it.

Why do you always assume the worst about someone's intentions?

That's what the National Academy of Social Insurance did in a major report [pdf] released in January. They asked 2,000 Americans ages 21 and older what they wanted to see happen to Social Security. Here's what they said they want:

Gradually, over 10 years, eliminate the cap on earnings taxed for Social Security. This would mean that the 5% of workers who earn more than the cap would pay into Social Security all year, as other workers do.
Gradually, over 20 years, raise the Social Security tax that workers and employers each pay from 6.2% of earnings to 7.2%. The increase would be so gradual that someone earning $50,000 a year would pay about 50 cents a week more each year, with the employer’s share increasing by the same amount.
Increase the COLA to more accurately reflect the inflation actually experienced by seniors, who typically pay more out-of-pocket for medical care than other Americans.

Raise Social Security’s minimum benefit so that a worker who pays into Social Security for 30 years can retire at 62 or later with benefits above the federal poverty line ($10,788 in 2011). Currently, lifetime low-wage workers are at risk of falling into poverty in their old age, even after paying Social Security taxes throughout their working lives.

And here's the age breakdown of who supports this approach

You got that right his desperation is actually quite amusing which most of the Radical liberals are just look how desperate the were in the 1960's & 70's and resorted to public bombings just like we seen in Boston and the Radical Left Weather Underground came to mind and the Radical Left called it Activism then and now they call it Terrorism and all started in Ann Arbor, MI.

Weather Underground

The Weather Underground Organization (WUO), commonly known as the Weather Underground, was an American radical left organization founded on the Ann Arbor campus of the University of Michigan. Originally called Weatherman, the group became known colloquially as the Weathermen. Weatherman first organized in 1969 as a faction of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) composed for the most part of the national office leadership of SDS and their supporters. Their goal was to create a clandestine revolutionary party for the overthrow of the US government
