It started around 9:20 PM. I'd say 11 PM fits.<quoted text>
The battle was 7 goddam hours long, and "11 PM" just doesn't cover that time period. Where was the empty chair?
So, the question remains unanswered:
Where was Obama during the 7-hour battle between Al Qaeda and the stripped-down American embassy security detatchment in Benghazi while the real-time video was being watched in the White House?

New study: No racial bias against black scientists
When a 2011 article in Science uncovered that black scientists are more likely to be rejected for medical research grants, it created a buzz in the research community.
A year later, the National Institutes of Health — the largest source of funding for medical research in the world — announced that it was considering making the applications anonymous.
Yet, a Virginia Tech adjunct professor, Dr. Ge Wang, and his colleagues say this change is not necessary, and that in their calculations released Thursday in Journal of Informatics, there is not actually a racial bias.
“We believe that this study has importance,” says Wang.“The racial bias issue is very sensitive and yet complicated. Our analysis suggests that racial bias does not exist, as explained in our latest paper.”
theGrio: Disparities among black scientists: Do degrees matter?
Wang and his team gathered data from September 2011 on black and white faculty members from 31 of the top American medical schools. They compared a randomly selected group of 40 black faculty members to 80 white faculty peers with the same degree, title, specialty, school and gender.
“He’s finding some interesting things,” says Dr. Donna K. Ginther, author of the Science article and professor of economics and director of the Center for Science, Technology and Economic Policy at the University of Kansas.“But the two studies are not that similar.”
Ginther also points out the limitations of Wang’s study.“We used 83,000 applications and he had information on [only] 40 researchers,” she says.
However, Wang says that their findings are statistically accurate, regardless of the number studied.
Wang and his team also compared the scientific productivity of black and white faculty members after they were granted funding and found that the ratio was the same. They found a correlation between the amount of funding black and white researchers received and how many articles they ultimately published about their research.
For example, if a researcher received half the amount of funding as another researcher, it would be considered fair if the one with more funding published more work, says Wang, who is also newly a chaired professor of engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
But, it’s not apples to apples, Ginther says, because her report was about the fact that black researchers were less likely to get the funds to begin with — not about the fairness in the amounts funded or the number of publications.
theGrio: Declining numbers of blacks seen in math, science
To address this ongoing issue, both the NIH and Ginther are performing further research on racial bias in the process by which research is judged for funding and publication in medical journals, called the “peer review” process.
“Funding is built on the peer review process and scientific achievement is built on it,” Ginther says.“So, understanding the dynamics and whether or not there is bias in the process is important. It is critically important to every aspect of science.”EDUCATE YOURSELF FORGET POLITICS BLACK PEOPLE DEMOCRATS WILL NEVER TELL YOU THIS IS THE WAY TO FIGHT ALL ISMS FIGHT IGNORANCE AND YOU WILL WIN

And no commanding officer anywhere has the authority to stop it?
Do you know just how dumb that is?

no wonder so many have given up looking for jobs in the Obama Economy
'America's hunger games
Offensive CBS reality show has rarest prize in our shattered nation -- a middle-class job
For all the talk about our slow climb out of the worst recession since the Great Depression, this past week brought some alarming news: The unemployment rate climbed to 7.9 percent, and in the fourth quarter of 2012 the US economy shrunk again.
Most distressing is the years-long trend that shows no sign of reversing: The middle class is disappearing. A 2012 study by economists at Duke University and the University of British Columbia found that nine out of every 10 jobs lost during the recession were mid-level and mid-paying — positions often eliminated due to technology.
Of the 3.5 million jobs that have been added since June 2009 — the official end of the Great Recession — only 2% were middle-class positions.
By contrast, 70% of jobs added were in low-paying sectors and 28% were in high-level ones.
“The jobs that are going away,” MIT’s Andrew McAfee has said,“aren’t coming back.”
Into this tragic, intractable economy comes a new CBS reality show called “The Job.” Premiering Friday, it’s billed as a feel-good program, a show that seeks to match middle-class job seekers of varying desperation with some of America’s most prestigious corporations.
But for all of the exploitations reality TV has to offer — from on-camera sex to drunken hillbillies —“The Job” may be the most offensive in television history.
We live in a time when a having a middle-class job has mutated from the American Dream to a luxury, when even those lucky enough to still have one live in perpetual fear that they’ll be fired next.
“The Job” turns this massive human toll into spectacle, dangling the prospect of an unspecified mid-level position in front of desperate contestants, who degrade themselves by telling their most pathetic personal histories in the paradoxical quest to regain some dignity.'

OBAMA DOESN'T CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE Chicago woman to bury 4th child dead from gun violence:‘I think it’s gotten out of control’ In tears, with her head in her hands, 54-year-old Shirley Chambers weeps. After burying three of her children, she lost her fourth on Jan. 26 after he was shot dead while sitting in a parked car on the west side of Chicago.
Thirty-three year old Ronnie Chambers was the last of Shirley Chambers’ four children, who were all victims of Chicago gun violence.
“When I found out that he was shot, I was totally devastated. My heart just dropped,” Chambers told theGrio.
As a mother who raised four children in Chicago’s Cabrini-Green housing projects, she never dreamt she would outlive her kids, and after the deaths of the first three, hoped her fourth would outlive her.
“I’m just knowing that Ronnie’s going to grow up and be an old man. That was in my heart,” Chambers said of her son.
A local music producer and reformed gang member, Chambers’ son went to Chicago’s west side after attending a listening party for one of his artists.
Police said at around 2:15 a.m. on Jan. 26, they responded to a call of shots fired in the 1100 block of South Mozart Street. When they arrived on the scene, they found Ronnie Chambers sitting in a parked van with a gunshot wound to the head. According to police, a second man was shot in his arm and leg, and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital for treatment.
Ronnie Chambers was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. He is part of an already advanced number of murders in Chicago in 2013. As of Jan. 30, police said Chicago has experienced 157 shootings and 42 homicides in 2013. In 2012, the city shamefully topped 500 murders for the first time in four years.
“Every day our young men and young women are getting gunned down,” Chambers said of Chicago’s violence issues.“I think it’s gotten out of control.”
Chambers lost her 18-year-old son Carlos to gun violence in 1995. In 2000, Chambers’ 23-year-old son Jerome and 15-year-old daughter LaToya were both shot to death outside of a Cabrini-Green housing

Meanwhile Jimmy Lee Dykes still has that kid in his bunker:
From the lips of HateRadio to the farmlands of Alabama:
Michael Creel, a neighbour and acquaintance, said Dykes kept to himself and listened a lot to conservative talk radio.
"He was very into what's going on with the nation and the politics and all the laws being made. The things he didn't agree with, he would ventilate," he said.
James Arrington, police chief of the neighboring town of Pinckard, put it differently.
"He's against the government, starting with Obama on down," he said.

Petiton Demands President Obama Attend Funeral of Hadiya Pendleton (But You Know He Won’t)
In December, President Obama flew cross country to grieve with the parents of the 20 slain Sandy Hook Elementary school children. And now friends of 16-year-old Hadiya Pendleton are asking Obama to do the same for her. Pendleton, an honors student and drum majorette, was shot and killed in a park in Obama’s hometown of Chicago 2 days after she danced for him at his 2nd Inauguration.
In an emotional press conference, Mr. Obama said the deaths of the 20 schoolchildren in Newtown touched him deeply. The president broke down on national TV and vowed to take “meaningful action” to prevent another Sandy Hook tragedy from occurring in the future.
Hadiya’s killing marks the 42nd death by gun violence in Chicago in January alone — the bloodiest January in Chicago in over a decade.
In response to Pendleton’s death, President Obama and the first lady released this statement on Wednesday:“The president and first lady’s thoughts and prayers are with the family of Hadiya Pendleton.”
But Chicago city leaders say that’s not enough. They want Mr. Obama to come to Chicago and take a stand against violence at Hadiya’s funeral the way he took a stand in Newtown, Connecticut.
The Jasmine Brand blog reports that a petition has been posted on the White House’s web site, asking the president to attend Hadiya’s funeral.
The petition, created by Slog the Stranger, reads:
As Newtown swirls down the memory hole and passion to implement sane gun control gets sidetracked by whatever the latest Congressional bullshit circus will be, President Obama should stand up and take advantage of a tragic opportunity to keep the anti-gun violence movement engaged. Sixteen-year-old Hadiya Pendleton, a sophomore at the selective enrollment King College Prep, a young woman who performed in the King Band at Obama’s Second Inauguration, was shot to death Tuesday afternoon in a South Side Chicago park. From the National Mall in the District of Columbia to Harsh Park in the 4400 block of South Oakenwald Avenue. From the inauguration to the mortuary.
President Obama and his entire family should attend her funeral. Pendleton died about a mile from their Kenwood home. And then maybe America will pay some attention to the everyday, routine, one-at-a-time death toll wrought by guns in this nation, instead of waiting for the next mass shooting to sit up, notice, talk, and do nothing.
