Detroit City? One of America's more badass ones or?
Anyone who has even just casually followed Detroit Black politics has figuratively thrown up their hands and walked away decades ago. The Public School board is so corrupt that it's been taken over twice(at least) by the State only to slide back into corruption again over and over again.

Brother Kwami, anyone? Brother Coleman and his racist Krugerrand fiasco?

The rest of the State of Michigan taxpayers have been subsidizing Detroit forever from Home & Auto insurance to internet service. You name it and the outlying taxpayers are stuck with Detroit's bills. And yet they still claim racism to this day.

This governor, and many prior governors have bent over backward trying to help Detroit come into this century but to no avail. Corruption continues like some backward tribal banana republic.

Ann Coulter shocked Sean Hannity on Wednesday when she conceded that she thinks Republicans should let tax rates for the rich go up.
House Republicans are currently battling President Obama over whether or not to hike taxes on the top 2 percent of earners in the negotiations over the so-called "fiscal cliff."
After Coulter started to say that Republicans should concede on taxes on the very rich, Hannity wondered why the House didn't just pass a bill extending the Bush tax cuts for everyone.
"OK fine, let's do that, but in the end, at some point, if the Bush tax cuts are repealed and everyone's taxes go up, I promise you Republicans will get blamed for it," she said. "It doesn't mean you cave on everything, but there are some things Republicans do that feed into what the media is telling America about Republicans."
"So are you saying that, for PR purposes, that they should give in to Obama on the tax rate?" Hannity asked.
"Not exactly, I--" Coulter said, before stopping herself and saying, "Well, yeah, I guess I am."
"You're saying capitulate to Obama?" Hannity stammered. "We don't have a revenue problem, Ann."
"We lost the election, Sean!" Coulter replied.

Sadly, the democrat authored mortgage meltdown negated so much of Bush's good work:
"The proof is in the pudding over the Bush tax cuts. They were followed by a record 52 straight months of job creation, producing 8 million new jobs, with the unemployment rate falling to 4.4%. Business investment spending, which had declined for 9 straight quarters, reversed and increased 6.7% per quarter, producing all those new jobs.
Because of that increased investment, labor productivity soared by 2.5% annually from 2003 to 2007, higher than the averages of the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. As a result, real after tax income per capita increased by more than 11%.
Manufacturing output soared to its highest level in 20 years. The stock market revived, creating almost $7 trillion in new shareholder wealth. From 2003 to 2007, the S&P 500 almost doubled. After the Bush tax cuts started in 2001, quickly ending the 2001 recession, the economy continued to grow for another 73 months. From 2000 to 2007, real GDP grew by more than 17%, meaning an additional $2.1 trillion for the American people".
Gawd, I love facts.
Two tax cuts:$2.8 Trillion in 10 years.
Two unpaid wars:$4 Trillion.
Medicare Drug Bill:$1 Trillion.
Bank Bailout:$1 Trillion.
Just put that on the charge card.

I have news. Bush was President until Jan of 2009.

We lost one out of every three manufacturing jobs under Bush.

We doubled the debt under Bush

Bush started with a balanced budget & his last budget was over a trillion in deficit.

As you brag about the gains right up until the house of cards collapsed, you ignore the false gains hidden in the housing bubble.

So before President Obama's hostile takeover in"08, would you say he was the popular pick? & don't say yeah because he's black cause I never would vote for herman cain. Now you & I don't differ on everything. I got my guards up too, but you can't have them up so much that you can't recognize good from bad, right from wrong. Your telling me I'm a follower but your stuck on past ideology. IMO you have to get past the ways of the past. America has transformed into a whole new/different culture. New doesn't always equal to something bad, but you will have a bad experience if you look at things in a bad way!

"real dumb"
Face the facts, George Bush is not a conservative. In 8 years he managed to increase the national debt by about 5 trillion. He is/was a piker, president nobama, he increased the debt by six trillion in 4 years, he will increase the debt by another 6 trillion or so in the next 4 years.
His answer, increase taxes on those who succeed, prosper and hire folks. I have ask you a number of times, but being the coward you are I will ask one more time, not expecting an answer, why should anyone pay a higher or lower Federal Income tax rate than you do. NO BS now, why are you special and deserve a lower tax rate than your fellow American's.

"Most believe zombies are relegated to the movies and video games, but Oklahoma Republican Sen. Tom Coburn has highlighted the Department of Homeland Security’s participation in a staged “zombie apocalypse.”
According to Coburn’s most recent oversight report “Safety at Any Price: Assessing the Impact of Homeland Security Spending in U.S. Cities,” first responders were approved grant funds for a $1,000 entry fee to a week-long HALO Counter-Terrorism Summit in San Diego where the “marquee” event was a demonstration of a “zombie apocalypse.”
“[Strategic Operations] performed two shows on Halloween, which featured 40 actors dressed as zombies getting gunned down by a military tactical unit. Conference attendees were invited to watch the shows as part of their education in emergency response training.[HALO president Brad] Barker explained that,‘the idea is to challenge authorities as they respond to extreme medical situations where people become crazed and violent, creating widespread fear and disorder,’” the report reads.
Coburn was not pleased by the event or much of the waste detailed in his report."

Folks, if you vote Republican, if you voted for George W. Bush, if you vote for big government, this is where your money is spent because of the Neo Cons and their Big Government.

Time to wise up.

The George W. Bush administration consolidated many of these activities under the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), a new cabinet department established as a result of the Homeland Security Act of 2002. However, much of the nation's homeland security activity remains outside of DHS; for example, the FBI and CIA are not part of the Department, and other executive departments such as the Department of Defense and Department of Health and Human Services play a significant role in certain aspects of homeland security. Homeland security is coordinated at the White House by the Homeland Security Council, currently headed by John Brennan.

Republicans feel entitled to so much.
Republicans get us into the depression of 2008 under Bush and then try to wiggle out.

A large majority (53 percent to 38 percent) of the electorate blames George W. Bush not Barack Obama for the condition of today's economy.
