too bad mike jones the coaching ledgend from florence, wi did not get a chance to work with this young lady, she maybe could have won more plus the school would have had many more girls out for the sport.

Jones sucks, he just has had some really good athletes.....plus he works them out 12 months of the year which is against the rules in most states

I really wish we had a coach like this...we are only allowed to practice with our coaches during the season. I would quit basketball for year round track practice.

He is a great coach....he will let girls be on the team just so they can go to the track meets on the bus with their boyfriends...even the girls that suck.

I have friends up their, the reason most kids like him is because he does not make anyone but the stars do anything in pratice. All he wants is a big teem...he tries to talk kids out of playing other sports just so he has a big teem

we do not need him here....my kids enjoy playing diffrernt sports in there respective seasons...my understanding is that he mandates that kids practice for track while they are supposed to be practicing basketball,etc.

We have many great athletes here and not having heard of coach jones, did a google search and found that he is a spectacular coach...there is even a chance that he will getting a huge merit pay boost because of his outstanding coaching,(he has taken marginal athletes and turned them into champions all by himself) as a result we may not be able to afford to get him here. Wish we could.my kids would love to run track year around.

I have relatives in that area and they report that even though school is out for the summer, all the track stuff like hurdles and mats are still out and that summer practice has begun. He also reports that there indeed will be many various specialty camps such as sprinting, etc.So if you can afford the trip coach J will be glad to turn your athlete into a state champ, I think he also includes some type of gaurantee on his camp fees.

I am hoping to send my kids to one of coach Jones many summer camps, I have searched and have not found any concrete camp dates. Best info i have found is that he is at the track coaching every day...anyone have any more info? I want my girls to be a state champ. They are somewhat overweight and i know that working with the legend is the only shot they will have...Please provide info..

I would check with the coach before going to florence.....I took my daughter their a week ago only to find that the coach was not in...he apparently was in chicago putting on a clinic and i was told he will be in michigan putting on another clinic........coach jones is very much in demand and I think that there is enough interest in Hacienda to get him and coach koehn here for a camp...maybe not this year or next but by 2012 at least... I want my girl to win at least one state title.....I feel bad I missed him on my trip to Florence, Wi but it is a very pretty area.

My understanding is that for the right price you can get him to do a clinic on not only track, but football and basketball as well....I would like to see us win as many titles as we can while my kids are in school. I do not know for sure but maybe he is an expert in gymnastics and cheering as well.

I here he can only do cannonballs, but he does them really well.....
