Does the term "throw away the key" mean anything to the prison system? Life is life..that means he leaves in a box feet first.

Not good. We shouldn't have to pay to keep him alive. If he's not earning his kept in prison then we should get rid of him.

What I want to know is...Why are we still spending our money, the taxpayer's,to keep this human piece of compost alive...??? He will be in jail till he is 115 years old...Isn't that a little ridiculous...??? A bullet is only a few cents,a lethal injection is only a couple of $$$...AND,a noose doesn't cost anything...I'm for the noose...Let's get it on...!!!

I don't think he's gonna make it (despite the best efforts of liberal, easy on crime judge O.H. "I-never-met-a-killer-I-d idn't-like" Eaton).

First offense. The Republican law makers want to make sure you get a few rapes under your belt before they send you away. Helps keep the rest of us on our toes. Plus, it increases the chances the rapist will impregnate a victim and President Palin can force the victim to carry the baby to birth.

Your a liberal idiot everyone knows dummycrats are the ones with the limp wristed punishment for criminals. If it was a dummycrat judge his wrist would have been slapped until they were red then he would have been released.

Has anyone here actually looked into this case? You're all so quick to send this man to his death without knowing the facts! They never actually had any proof against him except for a 17 year old drugged out kid who had to be hypnotized to recall what Spaziano supposedly told him. Therefore there was no actual proof, just hearsay.Years later this "kid" admitted that he was not telling the truth. Before you write these narrow minded comments, dig deeper into the stories, and think about how many people in prison can actually be innocent! It can happen to you or your loved ones! It's happened to my husband, and he's got a release date of 2100 for a murder that he did not do,but was a witness to.The parole commission is corrupt. They only want to keep their high paying jobs,no matter what the facts are. They never release anyone,no matter how many positive accomplishments the inmates have made.Open your eye people! It could happen to you or someone you love! And believe me, Chaingang Charlie has plans for more prisons, despite Floridas financial problems.

The name was "Mello" but what do know?! I'm a conservative who believes in the theory of the death penalty but after reading Michael Mello's book (The Wrong Man - A True Story of Innocence on Death Row), I'm more convinced than ever that the legal system stinks and truly innocent people have almost NO CHANCE to prove it. Mello had to risk destroying his career and reputation just to get Spaziano off death row. What he did took more guts than most people have in their little finger.

Before you run your mouths off, why don't you read. Try the book "Tulia;" or if you can't read, watch the DVD "Murder on a Sunday Morning", it's at Blockbuster. Google Rolando Cruz from DuPage Co. IL. Then tell me there are no innocent people on death row!!!!!!

If you want to save money on death row inmates, give them a decent chance to provide their evidence, instead spending hundreds of thousands of dollars fighting evidentiary hearings tooth and nail. If they are innocent, you won't have to pay for their three meals and a bunk. Or are we willing to say no one on the government ever makes mistakes and then tries to cover them up. You good conservatives should know better!

<G> He was really a Bello. <G> I guess he was not guilty of the other murder also? Notice his plea, it was not a not guilty plea.
