She was unrepentant to the end, when the cancer slithered from her lungs and nestled in her brain.

I worked with a woman who smoked. She constantly taking cigarette breaks , she reeked of cigarettes and had more serious health issues than the rest of the office combined. At 48, she had to have coronary bypass surgery, an endarterectomy, and, of course, she had COPD. All of her health issue were caused by her smoking and she still didn't quit. As an employer, would you hire someone if they were on pain medication such as OxyContin, Percocet or methadone? Would you hire a person who is an alcoholic? Or morbidly obese? A lot of people are discriminated against, grow up and quit complaining.

If they don't want to quit, then they shouldn't complain when a private company doesn't want to hire them. That woman I referred to, had over $200,00 worth of medical bills in one year and caused the group to lose their health insurance.
My dad smoked but was smart enough to quit when he had a heart attack and subsequent bypass surgery. It appears that the dummies reading this thread just don't get how stupid it is to keep doing something that has so many determential effects.

That's great! Cold turkey? That's really the best way and cheapest.
