"Sheriff Bob Hansell listed methamphetamine as a priority when he ran for sheriff in 2004."
Please explain this statement in the article. Is it a requirement for running for sheriff? Is it one of his priorities/qualities for being sheriff?
Another GREAT ARTICLE by the Sentinel sftaff? These writers (?) remains me of Jethro of the Beverly Hillbillies who had made it to the 6th grade and was going to be a brain doctor. Come on get your act together

It seems to me that the purpose of the statement was to show that the Sheriff is, and was, cognizant of the problem.

What else, in your opinion, should this article have contained? What is wrong? What is it missing? You can pass on your expertise to the Orlando "sftaff."

I lived in Osceola County for 9 years. It is a cess pool, filled with minorities, drug addicts, bums and other dregs. This doesnt surprise me at all.

Well if Osceola County is such a "ces pool" leave. Duh!!! Or why don't you do something to improve our town? Oh and when you get to a place where this are no drug's/crime let me know I might consider leaving my home town Saint Cloud the place I was born and have been raised.

I left and I am glad. Osceola County has only had an increase in criminal activity. Orlando is not perfect, but where I live is safer than Kissimmee was. I rode back to BVL 3 years ago, I didn't even recognize my old house the neighborhood was so tore up. I feel bad for the elderly and infirm who can't move out to a safer place.

I lived in BVL too, which is now nothing more than a Puerto Rican ghetto. It is sad that minorities and losers like those in Kissimmee and St. Cloud can cause such urban decay.

If you read closely Sherlock, you will see I wrote that I LIVED in Osceola. I did leave that sewage heap a few years ago. Wishing you and all the other riff-raff all the worst in that dump.

And families that saved and purchased those homes now have property that is basically unsaleable as it is a ghetto. I sold my home in 1993 at a $20K loss. I was lucky, now I couldn't sell it at all and would be trapped like a rat.

St Cloud has definatly changed. I have lived here for 40 years and family history back to mid 1800's. It's like any place else. I have freinds all over and drugs are bad all over. When I was young we played with the pot, But now a days these kids will grab a bottle of pain meds and swollow the whole bottle in one swift party. It is a problem every where. I really think they should just start ignoring the pot smokers and start thinking outside the box about shutting down this Meth and crack and Herion problem. I would bet that anyone that was a pot user would tell on any one who was abusing the other. Save some money on chasing one drug that seems harmless enough to conquer the ones that are a cancer on our world. Some thing needs to change. And it's not the sheriff. I see no reason why this guy should not be reelected. I know I feel safe knowing our Sheriffs and his deputy's are there and do the job they do. Good job Mr Hansell.

"Unsaleable"? Ask the Puerto Ricans in BVL to teach you english grammar.

From Dictionary.com

"unsaleable

adjective
impossible to sell [syn: unsalable][ant: salable]"

He used the proper word. You should check the facts before you criticize others.

If the simple family man could afford to pay the cost of living on minimum wage or an eight dollar an hour job a man wouldnt have to resort to selling and manufacturing drugs. This county is in ecomonic crisis. So you tell me what to do.

Get an education, or learn a marketable skill. Start your own business. Get a second job. Clip coupons, research retail sales, turn the thermostat up a couple of degrees. Bicycle to work, carpool, or take the bus. Get involved in the community. Help a disadvantaged child. Volunteer your time at a hospital or nursing home. Pick up trash by the side of the road.
Read to your children and spend time with them. Voice your opinion appropriately in a political forum. Start a petition, write a letter to the Editor. Smile at somebody. Live your life by an honorable code of ethics. Try to be a good person. Improve your life and/or the lives of othes around you.

But don't, under any circumstances or for any rationalized reason, manufacture or sell drugs.

The funny thing is that all the idiots here are talking about Puerto Ricans, but don't realize that St. Cloud is mostly a white redneck infested dump.

Even funnier is the fact that you're replying to a thread in which the last posting was over 7 months ago.
