another senseless accident. the way people drive on the streets around here, i'm shocked this doesn't happen every day.
NOT ONLY should people drive SOBER, they would also do well to stay a safe distance away from other cars and NOT TAILGATE. it's only just a matter of time until something bad happens. if people around this city would just be safer, more defensive drivers, we'd have fewer stories of this nature.`

There is no question that this event was an accident, but this is an accident that he caused which ended a life.

I'm sure we should not jump to conclusions; however, you have come to a conclusion by implying that his brakes failed, or the possibility of his brakes failing. There are tests out there that can prove this mere theory.

I hope Mr. Pajons has enjoyed his first thirty years as a free man.

I expect he will be closer to fifty when he gets out of prison.

There is no excuse for killing a two year old boy.

Well, if he didn't plan to do it, then it was an accident.

It would have been nice to know a name for the child who died instead of the two names at the end of the story just saying they were both in car seats.
The 2 years olds name & age was in the very beginning of the article.

What will really rip you is if we find out he has a long record of traffic offenses and maybe even suspensions - or worse yet, if we find out he is currently suspended, and hasn't any insurance but still driving. Add to that he may even have open warrants, no license, no insurance and still driving. Happens all the time. Some creep driving, wrecks and kills some innocent people and find out he should still be in jail but was let out "for good behavior" and has violated conditions of his release.

Jordan you have just failed the driving test. You obviously don't know what an accident is. If he was driving the speed limit, following traffic ahead of him at a safe distance, alert, and watching ahead and the brake pedal went all the way to the floor uselessly, one might excuse this as an accident - and then only if the driver previously had no hint that the brakes were becoming marginal, or intermittently failed to stop the vehicle properly. That is a lot of "ifs" [ Wait for the scumbag lawyer to try this defense ] If the driver suffered a sudden blackout maybe it could be called "an accident" but here again - did he have a known medical condition that caused seizures or blackouts and thus should not have been driving nullifying that excuse? There are damned few "accidents" in the world. Almost all can be pinned on something the driver did or failed to do. Stop the nonsense. God has spared you crumb bums as I am not the judge in these cases or I'd tear you apart and your pointy shoe, striped pants lawyers with your "fairy stories". I can't wait to hear this one though - "My accelerator stuck to the floor, my brakes failed, my emergency brake pedal broke off and I was just helpless".[ And he turns to his lawyer and asks: "Did I say that all right?" ]

I thanked God all day that he gave me the chance to meet this sweet sweet little boy for the first last month when they came and stayed with us for a week. We really bonded over that week he was here. I will miss our little phone conversations. I loved him so! As for Mr Pajon, your day of judgement is coming! THIS SHOULDN'T OF HAPPENED!! He was so young, still just a baby!! I wished he could of heard the heartbreak of his Nana & my my heartbreaking when she called & told me about the accident & liitle Eric's passing! I am going to be on my way to Florida soon to be with my sister who really needed me YESTERDAY. Mr. Pajon do you have children? Terri hasn't even been told that her son is gone yet because of her injuries. How hard do you think that is going to be! This has caused alot of heartaches and ANGER near & far away. GOD BLESS HIS LITTLE SOUL! Rest in peace my little man!
He touched alot of hearts in the very short time he was here!

I am Terri's sister. Eric was my nephew.... I live in Chicago and I am flying down to be with my sister and the rest of my family. What do I say to my little sister? How could this have happened?!?! Eric was going to turn 2 in less than 3 weeks. How does she even begin to go on? How does she cope with caring for her other baby Levi who is only 5 months old?!?! I think I am going to be sick again. He was just a baby!!!!!

First, my deepest condolences to the family of precious Eric. I send so much love to Terri. There is truly no worse loss than that of a child. No pain more excruciating. I am so very sorry. My only child, my son, was killed over Christmas of 2006. He was 21, a senior in college driving with friends to go scuba diving in West Palm Beach. He was in the back seat wearing his seatbelt when a drunk driver drove into the back of their car at an extremely high speed. They were stopped in traffic on I-95. Matt's life was taken and my nightmare began. "The Grinch" was exactly right in stating that what happened was not an accident. These things are *never* accidents. FHP no longer calls them Accident Reports but rather Crash Reports. Also, these are not mistakes. A mistake is spelling a word wrong. Clearly this driver was impaired, driving recklessly, or doing something other than paying attention to the road. Or all three. Maybe he was text messaging or reading a text msg. Many people do that *while* driving and think nothing of it. Comparable to driving drunk. And they kill and injure the innocent also. This man will be charged. Will he do the time he deserves? In Orange County, probably not. It will be the luck of the draw with what judge gets the case. For DUI manslaughter the most you can get is 15 years. Most don't get that. The "oops" crime for so many until you, your family, friends are affected by it and definitely in the eyes of our justice system. I am so glad to see the reaction on this forum because, I will be honest, it is not always the norm. Again, I am so very sorry to the family of this wonderful little boy whose future was ripped away from him. Whose Mom will never ever be the same again. Whose family is suffering along side of her. Because someone made a selfish CHOICE...whatever it was, it was a selfish choice.

There are a thousand automobile accidents each day in Florida... lots of people get killed all the time. Near my home in east Orlando, two young, hispanic men were killed in separate hit and run accidents during the course of one year. I did not read anything about it in the newspapers, nor did I read one word from you bloggers.

It is amazing how precious white life is!
