Totally uncalled for.Utilities Inc. cant run the company with what they get now..More money wont help. We have terriable water . I have a 2 bedroom 2 bath home 2 people living here and I pay an average of $100.00 a month. If houses were selling mine would be up for sale.

The PSC should never have allowed this increase with all the problems Utilities d/b/a Wedgefield Utilities has. Few knew they were planning this sneaky increase. And where was our area legislator to attempt to stop this. They need to be reined in and controlled. If you do some on-line research Wedgefield Utilities, owned by Utilities, Inc. is owned by A.I.G. which experienced tremendous financial problems.

I am a Wedgefield resident and while I love our little out of the way neighborhood, I HATE OUR WATER! It causes appliances to go bad before their time, smells and tastes terribe (undrinkable) and wreaks havoc on your skin and hair. I saw Erin Brokovich and I know something can be done. I mean our situation surely is not as bad as PG&E was but I can tell you there is something wrong! I want someone to do something. My water bill is $50.00/month BEFORE I use a drop of water because of a base charge for water and sewer. There is something wrong with that! I don't water my lawn, wash my cars here or drink the water because of the cost and poor quality.

Mine was about $110 per month but that included sewer which is the majority of the bill. Your water portion is probably only about $15.

I am a Wedgefield resident and only became aware of the approved rate increase after I recieved a letter stating that it had been approved by the PSC. 51% is unconscionable even if the water was decent (which it isn't). It's obvious that Utilities Inc (or AIG) has someone from the PSC in their pocket. Corruption and thievery seems to be just about everywhere these days.

Amazing how quick Wedgefield Utilities (a/k/a) Utilities Inc) was to send out "rate increase" notices but FAILED beyond compare to send out notices when they were proposing rate increases. Indeed, corruption/thievery thrives. And now A.I.G.(parent company of Utilities Inc)looks to be getting more bailout money. Clearly PSC does not have the interests of the public in mind. There should be a "full, extensive investigation" called for. The media should do more on this.

Now that the PSC has been found to be on the take and collaborating (illegally) with utility companies I wonder if all these rate increases will be overturned based on corruption and other charges. Get rid of all the corrupt partners from every level and incarcerate them. and those PSC employees who left because of questionable practices should be charged as well. Oops forgot - Florida encourages corruption. Time for the media to bring this to the forefront again.

I also live in Wedgfield and I have concerns with what is is in our water. I can smell sewage every time I wash my clothes in the washer. I have turned on my washer without clothes in it and observed that the water appears clear, have called a plumber who assures me that sewage cannot enter appliances. We only drink bottled water as the one week I drank tap water I came down with a bladder infection. We are renting at the present time. We had initially planned on buying out here as we love the area. Due to the horrible water quality and high utility prices we have changed our minds. I now worry that the water could affect our health.
