Must be a real slow news day to write this story. I am shocked that somehow, somewhere, you couldn't find a way to mention Obama in here and give him credit for something or at least say this is somehow Mccain's fault.

I did yesterday!! JCPenney was having a kick-butt sale! I walked out with a new toaster oven, queen size raised inflatable mattress with pump, snackmaster, crock pot and cool deep fryer, all for $110. Now THAT's a bargain. I was eyeing the 600TC king size sheets for $35 too.

Posting politics against a story about shopping deals...sounds like a bitter loser to me!

We hope you enjoy the next four years as much as we enjoyed the last 8.

Yeah, be careful of that computer coupon scam. I was in Home Depot yesterday, and saw in person a loud argument between customer and manager on how the store "can't take a computer generated coupon"..Imagine a scam at the Depot!

Each store knows which types of coupons they issued. Some people go so low that they make up their own coupons and try to pass them off. Those types are equal to shoplifters.

A good deal is not always about price, but about value and quality.

I stopped delivery of the Sun Sentinel, because I can read it for free at the library. I also cut back putting sale ads in the paper, and just put up signs around the neighborhood. Another way to cut back is to order a lot of take out food, and then tell the kid that you will pay only half. If they refuse, then walk out. They are left with a big order in front of them. Go around and offer 10% of any houses out there for sale. The realtors will love wasting their time and car gas on you. Take a bundle of clothes off the rack at the stores and go to the pay counter and offer 20% of their value. The clerk will spend hours just to rehang the items up. Go to publix and fill your cart up with food, and then offer 15% of the bill. Make sure you get items from the freezer areas or meat areas. The manager might give you that discount if you know how to negotiate right.

I know that you are joking, otherwise you would sound like a real idiot. I think that if you walked into a takeout restaurant and offered half-price for the food, you would have the ginsu shoved up your arse.

Check out Amazon.com ...found a Sansa 32G MP3 for $219 including free shipping and no sales tax. Everyone else wants $249 plus tax and I have to waste gas to go to the store.
Shopping online is about all I do anymore...no traffic, no crowds, no unruly sales clerks, no whiny store managers. Check around now for selected items and wait until November 28. You can save at least 40% to 75% that day.
