You would be incorrect. He was wearing a helmet and died about 6-10 minutes after the accident.

Colby had turned his life around. he was finished with rehab and moved back home... so before you go and judge someone on how they used to be you need to get ur facts strait if you dont have something nice to say about him dont say anything at all
Family/Friends, you are lucky he's not Black or Hispanic. Then your feelings would REALLY be hurt. My sympathy and condolences. Remember, the people that post on here are ruthless no-lives who have nothing better to do but hide behind a computer and spew comments that they know they could normally never say in person.

This is a tragic incident.

It just does not make ANY sense to have the taxpayers bail out the very thing that is what caused the complete DECLINE of America---AUTO VEHICLES.

That is the same thing as saying the taxpayers are gluttons for punishment and that the taxpayers are suicidal.

Yeah, you really sound sorry. What a pompous asss!!!!! You should be ashamed of yourself.
I am sorry. I have lost friends on motorcycles and I have had close calls of my own! I'm lucky to be alive unlike this young man. I just was referring to my chiseled abs and peaked biceps that bulge as I shift, clutch and twist my way down the road. Yes I do like to feel the wind race across my broad manly shoulders. I am hot like the rumbling pipes that bark out attention that leads directly to my sexy sculpted piece of art bod riding metal and leather.
Condolences to the family.

Yeah, him being white makes it less racist. And you hide behind your computer just like everyone else here. So what is your real point?
Hey, I'm not here to put out garbage. Like I said, my sympathy. I'm simply noting that reading the topix related to stories on SunSentinel is normally NOT the place to get love/condolences for your loved ones. If he were of any color, you would be reading about hangings or immigration by now. This is the last place I would look if I were trying to recover from a loss. My advice, try facebook.

If you were actually there and witnessed the accident, I hope you have spoken with the police and offered to write a report on what you saw and heard. It would be so helpful to the investigation. I realize that some of you may have spoken with authorities already and I do commend you for that.

To all those who have nothing better to do than mock the death of a child: I can only reiterate what others have already written. You will face God one day, and I hope you understand that when you do you won't be able to hide behind some computer monitor and get away with the things you have written here. You words are curel, vile, insensitive, and above all, an atrocious reflection of society. What goes around comes around.

May God watch over the Cecil family and all those who were lucky enough to have Colby in their lives.

One more thing...

To everyone who has had Colby and his family in their thoughts and prayers, you are an AWESOME reflection of society. I certainly did not mean to insinuate(sp?) that all of society is malicious and cold-hearted.

Thanks to everyone who has the capacity to be empathetic and realize that, no matter whose fault it was, a young life was lost and it is nothing less than a tragedy. We love you, Colby!

It doesn't matter if he was 49 he was someones child. He is in a way better place than we are and I know his family can find solace in that.

The fault lies with the auto vehicle. The DRIVERS and ALL OTHER PEOPLE who are involved in participating in the use of private auto vehicles may be blamed, punished, castigated, disciplined, chastised, preached to, sued, prosecuted, demeaned, berated, sentenced, imprisoned, fined, scourned, persecuted, all you want, and it will NOT clear up the ROOT CAUSE of the problems:........AUTO VEHICLES.

With regard to the FOCUS I follow -- our massive problems from AUTO VEHICLES -- people do NOT endanger the lives of others. AUTO VEHICLES DO.

I successfully CONFIRM that fact by a simple criteria:: Place upon the PEOPLE who are DRIVERS the laws, the regulations, the ordinances, the rules, the punishments, the police enforcement, the tickets, the fines, the driver license suspensions, the penalties, the jail time, the restrictions, the consequences, etc., to prevent crashes and there are STILL crashes that occur CONTINUALLY. But on the other hand, in the ABSENCE of auto vehicles there are NO crashes....NONE!!

Finding CERTAINTY in things in life is an almost impossible thing to do. But there is one thing that IS certain:: AMERICA IS IN TROUBLE!

The proof behind that is right before your eyes. It isn't any secret. There isn't any cover-up hiding it. The ENTIRE world knows it. America is in DEEP trouble!

Since the problem in our country is so crucial to our very existence, there has to be some kind of action taken if we are going to be able to fend off the total destruction that THE PROBLEM is causing. There has been a lot of chatter and tongue-wagging in the forum about the problems. But it is rare indeed to see a post that talks OPENLY and CANDIDLY and OBJECTIVELY about it. Even more rare is to see a post that actually proposes ANY solution. And even MORE rare than that is to see a post that actually proposes a solution that is stated to be the ONLY solution that will work.........I do just that.

Get rid of AUTO VEHICLES. We will be safer, wealthier, healthier, and happier.
So What

I would just like to state for everyone to take notice... There is a difference between having a helmet on your head, and wearing one. There is something called a chin strap inside each helmet. If you do not buckle this strap, you are no longer "wearing" your helmet, only placing it on your head. Obviously from witness statements and what was reported, his helmet came off. So, in theory he was not properly wearing his helmet, thus the result of him losing it in the accident.

If America got rid of auto vehicles as some have suggested, we would be committing a fatal error. If America is no longer driving, and only walking, other countries will easily be able to overtake us in the long run. This "solution" that was spoken of, would also have to include trains, planes, boats, bicycles, roller skates, skateboards, scooters, tanks, and all other various modes of transportation beside walking. Meaning, America would be defenseless and overrun. Thus, we will not be safer, wealthier, or happier. No longer safe from enemy invasions, no longer wealthy because of invaders, no longer happier because of invaders. Think a little bit more outside the box here.

It is a fact that most accidents occur within 2 miles of home. People die everyday based on their own decisions, and the decisions of others. Taking auto vehicles away would only make things worse. If a murder were to occur, it would take the police hours to respond by foot. If you broke your leg, you would either have to walk, or be carried to the hospital. Auto vehicles do not kill, it is the drivers behind the wheel of those vehicles that kill. Put a car in park, never touch it, and I can guarantee that 99.9999% of the time, that vehicle would not kill anyone on its own. The 0.0001% would be due to some freak malfunction where the vehicle blew up, or the brakes failed if you parked it on an incline. Fat chance that will happen, but it is still possible...

P.S. America is not the only country that is in deep trouble. The whole world is in trouble. Dig deep enough, and you will find the truth.
