When you're drinking, don't drive the hot rod Mustang. The liquid courage can get you in trouble behind a 300 horse power engine. Here is your list of troulbe. Car damage, insurance cancelled, home damage (possible no insurance coverage because DUI is a crime and might not be covered), lawyer fees (5-15k), drivers license suspension, insurance will go up to $ 2,000 for 6 month premiums, possible short stint in jail. Arrest record. Don't drink and drive !

Leave it to the drunks to ruin a good day !!

this is what we need stiffer penalties for - drunk drivers with no consideration of other lives or property.

He'll get a shoplifter fine and let back out to kill another day!! GO USA!!

So now the homeowner gets to go to the trouble of getting the house repaired, maybe a deductible involved, all becuase Mr. Evans is an idiot.

I had a carul of kids do very mcuh the same thing a few years back. I got lucky, becuase it was a week after Charile blew through, and the greenbelt behind my home was chock full of downed 150' trees. Just what the boys hit? Yup.

I guess they weren't hurt, they managed to hightail it out of there. But people who saw them escape said their car was pretty trashed.

Isn't the basicly the same type of wreck committed a few weeks ago by a Volusia County Deputy?

And I heard on TV yesterday that our fearless leaders (some of them) are being asked to change the drinking laws to 18 years because of the binge drinking going on on college campuses, etc. Makes sense, huh? They say what good does it do to have 21 the legal age now? Perhaps it could be that some of these kids will mature a little by the time they're of legal age and will know better than to binge drink and to drive under the influence. Keep talking about 18 being old enough to vote and go to war? Like comparing apples and oranges.....

If someone has the money to go out and drink then they have the money to call a cab. They just choose to drive instead and put all of us at risk. DUI punishment should be harsher.

If anything, the drinking age could stand to be raised. A 21 year old now is often times not as mature as a 21 year old was 10 years ago.

Impressive, though, that he remembered to fasten his seat belt before roaring off half-crocked in the Mustang.
