You can shop at the Military Exchanges and Commissary only if you have a valid Military ID Card, to include Active Duty, Reserve and Retired from the Military Soldiers, their spouses and children who are ID card holders. Check with your local exchange/commissary for their rules on guests. Some will allow you to bring a guest in with you while you shop but they aren't allowed to make purchases. At this time in Hawaii the Army PX and Commissary allow a guest and the Navy NEX will allow a guest but the commissary there will not. The reason being is that locals in Hawaii join the military and bring their entire families ( parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends) to buy their groceries from the commissary so when we go in to get ours there is nothing left on the shelves, so they stopped allowing guests at the Navy Commissary.

Is the Military Commissary near the airport still there. I looked on the Commissary web page and I can not find it. Thank you in advance for your help.

Is the commissary in Orlando still in operation? All of the posts above seem to indicate that it is but they are very dated. I would appreciate anyone shedding light on this.

It's sad but this is just an Nex with a grocery store. It is not a true commissary. The prices are not at cost and do not provide the savings a commissary provides. The only way to get the savings is going th Patrick AFB or MacDill AFB.

No I don't think you can , only if you have an active ID card that allows you to do so.
Your wrong. Anyone can enter the commissary. You only need a military ID card to make purchases.

Sorry. You're not in the club. Go wait in the car.
Oh hey... You're from Windermere. The rules don't apply to you. Just pay someone to go for you.
Yes you can escort her to the commissary and exchange. You cannot make any purchases.
