Chief Val Demmings is doing a great job. I am a small business owner on Lee Road and I feel this area is safer now than before she became police chief. The gun as she stated was stolen and I am sure she will make sure it doesn't happen again. I think she deserves much more credit than she is given for her hard work and inspiration. Many people in this community and business owners are greatful to have a strong leader in law enforcement.
Isn't Lee Road in the county?

This is going to require some serious law inforcement investigative work. Who, Why, What ,Where, and When. Until that happens, let's waite for the report. The time frame between the alleged crime and the reporting to the tax payers (the employers) is troubling!

Who is going to investigate her? Her husband can't do it even though as the sheriff it should be the responsibility of his office. Who is next up the food chain - the FBI?

The others who have posted that 2 law enforcement officers living in the same house must have the ability to secure guns within the home - and if they don't, then someone should be looking into whether they really are qualified to hold these positions.

Don't you just love when someone (always) always brings up the
Racist card. Race has nothing to do with Val Demmings leaving
Her guns (according to the local news it was more than 1 gun) in her
"Unlocked car" only carelessness.
