This story is nonsense. You can't auction anything when a company is under Chapter 11 reorganization. That's the whole reason for the word reorganization. When is this McKay guy gonna figure this stuff out? Its not that complicated.

We got a flyer yesterday about a Fourth of July fireworks show at Veranda Park. It seems that Tavern on the Lake is celebrating! After losing my job I need something to celebrate about before I can go out there and watch them burn money.

The 4th is about celebrating our independence from tyranny. At least we have the right to go get a job without the kind of problems they have in Iran. I'll be celebrating on the 4th and if Veranda Park sends me a flyer I'll be there.

Many Americans are suffering from our economy, not just the 10% of us unemployed. I think America should find another way to celebrate. Burning money in a fireworks show is an insult.

We relocated our business to Veranda Park two months ago and we like it here. I wonder how many others get a Sentinel article every time a bill isn't paid on time?

how is the story "nonsense" ?
The Condo building isn't actually currently under chapter 11.
It will get auctioned unless he files C-11
The Condo -Biz building is under C-11 but it will get auctioned unless Azzouz comes up with a plan that the bank likes. He just might do that. But not being able to keep the lights on, isn't cool.
Also, there's a big dif with the Residences than the office-condo.
Azzouz owes many, many many many Millions of dollars more than the building's market value.
If anyone actually looks at who's living there, they're all of Azzouz' s cronies.
the bottom floors are dirt.
And what ever happened to Tony Nicholson's money?
Hey there Azzouz? You took his money... but you didn't pauy any bills on the place ?? What did you do with it?

Mr. Azzouz is your typical big developer who has no money but finances his multi-million dollar project on credit and other people's money.

I remember 2 years or so ago when he filed a SLAPP lawsuit against an Orange County Deputy who, as a local homeowner, spoke out about his improper home association dealings. The deputy had to re-mortgage his house just to fefend himself against this fivilous law suit. A few of Orlando's top law firms handled the suit against the deputy but as I recall, cancelled their representation of Mr. Azzouz, probably because he could not pay them. The deputy actually prevailed in the lawsuit. I doubt that Mr. Azzouz ever paid him so the deputy probably lost afterall after having to re-mortgage his house.

Mr. Azzouz is a typical arrogant high-wheeling developer who deserves all the misfortune he has brought upon himself. Just remember, what goes around comes around and that is certainly true in this case.

Maybe now Mr. Azzouz knows what it's like when the little man is backed up against the wall.

Larry Giles was never paid by Azzouz on the SLAPP lawsuit he won. Mr. Nicholson is still pursuing his case as is Lee Mayer...

The Master Association's only hope for recovery is in it's insurance policy protecting against directors and officers mis-deeds.

The residents who paid dues since 2005 when Azzouz took over until almost 2009 when the resident board got control of the checkbook, who were illegally assessed dues increases under Azzouz and his cronies will for the most part never get any money back, although there are some adjustments and credits being issued for certain residential condo projects like the Hamptons that were assessed multiple times in one year, which is also illegal. Other communities will never see a dime or credit back to their community.

The Residents will simply have to suck it up. My hope is that the MWMA board files a claim for against the insurance policy and that any monies awarded that claim will go directly back to the communities. That's as I see it the best posible hope at this time.

Thanks Azzouz

I was part of the team that started the MetroWest Master Association audit that these people like Biddle like to quote. I resigned when the Presidents council allowed a normal audit procedure to become hijacked by 5 zealots (HOA terrorists) with the old story of Big Bad Developer. Azzouz and his team voted to spend money for security. The ultra right wingnuts who went after him were hell bent on stopping any dues from being spent on off duty Orlando Police to help keep Metrowest safe. THAT IS THE LARGEST COST ITEM THEY CLAIM WAS MIS SPENT IN THEIR REPORT WHICH IS not AN AUDIT. Its a butcher job.

They also didn't want to replace dying trees, shrubs, grass and a whole lot of other stuff that normal people would see as reasonable. Libertarians believe that NO tax is the only acceptable way to live our lives. This no tax, no government credo is the reason we're in the mess with our economy. If we had oversight of the Wall Street financiers we would have regulated their excess and kept our overall system safe.

The dues we paid when the Azzouz team was on the board, and the dues we continue to pay are reasonable. If Jody Altier, David Rosenberg and Mary Baddle get control of our board that's when we will be in BIG trouble.

Hey Palma Vista,
Or should I say Kevin Azzouz or maybe Tony Swatek?
Palma Vista was the association that started the lawsuit against Azzouz for not providing transparency in association documents. Our own association dollars paid for Azzouz to defend against the Palma Vista lawsuit, a lawsuit that cost the residents untold thousands of dollars.
I know Rosenberg, Jody Altier (who by the way is only 1 of 2 resident elected board members) and Biddle.
They all want security, lawn maintainance, trees, OPEN ELECTIONS, MEETINGS and ACOUNTABILITY.
President Azzouz was given ample opportunity to defend himself in an open forum, he no-showed stalled and con'd, his speciality.
We as residents holding open elections, regular meetings and allowing any resident who wants to view the association records and financials to do so, will be the proper conclusion and will insure that the people that are paying the bills, THE RESIDENTS make the decisions that affect our own community. That is the least we deserve as dues paying residents and we are entitled to it under the law.
As far as your attack of Rosenberg, what did he have to gain spending several thousands of hours as a volunteer doing the audit with Jody?
By the way he is a FORENSIC accountant 30+ years experience and a long term resident of Palma Vista???
He travels the world working for Robery Earl. His time in the real world would be highly compensated. His only benefit as is mine is a proper assessment of dues under legal conditions.
Jody Altier, is a Saint. All I can tell you is after back surgery, she had to put up with Azzouz yelling and screaming at her at meetings and for what?? Because she is dedicated to doing the right thing, even if she is ridiculed by residents like you that benefit from her volunteer service on our board and is by the way is 1 of only 2 resident ELECTED members of our board.
Biddle another community volunteer, get criticized as well for standing up! Her only benefit a lower, legal and proper dues assessment. Yeah she's a real enemy of the people of MW.
Again here's what all these people, YOUR NEIGHBORS; get out of ALL their hard work. A PROPER AND LEGAL DUES ASSESSMENT AND TRANSPARENCY IN OUR ASSOCIATION DEALINGS OPEN TO ALL RESIDENTS.
You state no defensible position for Azzouz yet you attack volunteers and leaders in our community. How many handles do you have on this thread, AZZOUZ?
If you really are a Resident of Palma Vista run for the board when the elections come up, quit complaining about the people who are on the frontlines and thank your lucky starts that the MWMA checkbook was taken away from Azzouz before we went broke.

Palma Vista,

Really Azzouz or maybe Tony Swatek??

We had to sue Azzouz to get our own fiancials. The Palma Vista lawsuit was defended with resident dollars tens of thousands of them so that Azzouz would not have to give us our records and NO WONDER! If I was Azzouz I would have fought it as well... The release of the records buried him.

As for your attack of your Palma Vista neighbors, Jody Altier and David Rosenberg as well as Mary Biddle, it is more than unbelievable. I know them all..

Rosenberg: thousands of volunteer hours spent auditing MWMA records. 30+ years experience as a forensic accountant, who in the private sector is the highly paid accountant of Robry Earl, what was his GAIN???

Jody Altier, 1 of only 2 elected board members by the residents, who after back surgery this year kept up a very strong battle doing the right thing on behalf of the residents. Even though she had to put up with Azzouz yelling and screaming at her, trying to bully her into ceasing her opposition his mis-deeds. What was her gain??

Mary Biddle, Fairway Cove, owns her own business plus a weekly radio show, What was her gain???

There gain was the same as mine and your's, if you are in fact a resident:

PROPER LEGAL ASSESSMENTS, OPEN RECORDS TO THE COMMUNITY, properly called and noticed meetings and hopefully rid of Azzouz in the very near future as our self appointed President.

For as long as I live in MW, I will especially thank Rosenberg, Altier and Biddle for standing up when I refused to put my neck on the line. I am embarrassed that I didn't put my foot down in 2005 and I will be forever grateful to them and am saddened that they have to endure any critic's like you.

hey hamptons, or should I say Hollis the under the table backhanded self righteous self-serving politician:
You're never gonna start a political career on our backs. We all know that you set yourself up for a job with Continental when Mariott sacks you by getting your friends Jody Altier and David Rosenberg to cheat the association management company selection process into guaranteeing the contract award to Continental. How's your CAM license coming?
.
And when a few of us challenged your mis-use of our money we get slammed with big nasty emails from your clan. You're way more awful than Simback ever was.
.
We were all in the board meetings and the only screaming going on was Rosenberg and Biddle. Everybody involved knows who the idots are here. Jody, David and Mary are f'ing brute idiots who will abuse the Metrowest residents worse than Simback on his best day. That's why Fairway Cove just FIRED Biddle as their president.
.
One question, why is your new contract with Continental set up so they can control the bid process and use their companies to provide all of our services. Jody Altier, Rosenberg, Hollis and Biddle are responsible for this TOTAL ABUSE OF METROWEST residents money.
.
And who was it that put Carole Levine and Stina D'uva on the board. It was Azzouz. He came in and opened the process after Simback and his thugs were thrown out. You then beat them into submission by sitting back while Biddy Baddle Biddle screamed at them during board meetings. You think we can't all see what you're doing. Don't play the Angels and Demons holy man when you're really the frickin DEVIL.
Azzouz do you just sit at your computer all day long and write these blogs? I can understand why you are mad at Hollis, Rosenberg, Biddle & Altier.
These community volunteers who outed your theft of community association dollars 2.3 million of them.

You can't steal another 2 mil now can you? Yeah Hollis, Rosenberg, Biddle & Altier, real bad guys, SURE!

IS ANYTHING EVER YOUR FAULT?

And those poor people who rented in the Veranda residential building, you took their money and din't pay the utility bills, now they are turning off the power and water, REAL NICE YOU STOLE FROM THEM AS WELL.

AND WHAT ABOUT ALL THE CONTRACTORS YOU SCREWED OVER, SOME FINANCIALLY RUINED.

AZZOUZ YOU ARE SOMETHING ELSE.
