Murph wrote: Hey y'all. I have had a busy morning. PT came, then I had just started catching up on posts when my daughter called and wanted me to come see all the baby stuff she found at a yard sale (all adorable, brand new-looking name brand stuff) but we had vowed we were NOT going to buy baby clothes until after everything is clarified. While I was there, SIL asked me how the 10 year old was. I didn't know what he was talking about. He said he got hit hit really HARD in the mouth last night by a baseball. I knew BusyMom was taking the kids to Jopliin today, so I didn't expect anyone to be at there house, but I ran a get well card with a little check over to put in their mailbox. Turned out son was home. He said the 10 year old got the silver cap knocked off a molar. He showed it to me. He said,"I think that is our $300.00 tooth!" While I was at daughter's, SIL talked me into selling tickets for one of the All Start games. Then, when he started talking about the desperate need for host families, I made a hasty exit. Maybe I posted this earlier, while I was catching up--the PT said I was very high level and would only need therapy to get my back muscles unclenched and get my hands and fingers working properly again. We walked 3 blocks, then back. She said she truly thought that, with my back muscles unclenched, I could probably walk much faster than her. Brag brag brag. Murph - we could have told the PT that you were HIGH LEVEL! I am happy for you! I hope they can get this unclenching thing fixed real fast so you can enjoy your gardens and everything else in life. YEH! On another note, been thinking, I know you keep up with some of the regulars behind the scene, what if someone started a topix thread in your home town (not the isp), we changed our unique log in names so no one could goggle them and started posting there. It would avoid a lot of this other extraneous stuff and we could post to each other. Just a thought. No need to post here where your home town is. You can contact them by e-mail. Just an idea. For all that matters, we could post something in your hometown to send us to another hometown of someone else, that way your hometown would not find us either, nor know you.

You would have to tell me how to do it--I don't know anything about posting in my hometown. n fact, I didn't know there was posting in my hometown.

PS Thank you for the compliment and well wishes. It made me feel so good that the PT said I was high level, I watered front and back yard stuff and shampooed the family room carpet. I sure am not high level now--I am dragging my poor, crippled butt around, waiting for time to take another back pill.

At the top of this page is the words "TOPIX" LOCAL NEWS: Orlando, FL (Change). Select the (Change), input your real city, when prompted in the box. Hit enter. Your city should show up. Then click, Recent xXXXXXX Discussions and it will show your cities discussions. Someone else can walk you thru how to start a thread. Just make the thread something generic that will not show up when googled and those of us with names, like snarky, CQ and LQ etc. will have to change to something generic. Just trying to help.

Something is wrong with my Misty (14 year old cat). She hates the dog, hates the other cat, hates everybody, but has always been very affectioate toward me. After my surgery, she sensed right where my side hurt, and would get on the bed and curl up right in that spot. Sometimes I let both cats out, and they have been very good about staying close to the house. A little bit ago, I saw her lying out there and brought her in, even though she fought me all the way. She is acting vicious with me. She is a Japanese Benttail and no vet in town will groom her without sedating her first.

Do you sedate her before you even leave the house?

Good evening.
I see we still don't have Flo or Gaye. I also noticed that Ms. Marley hasn't graced us with her presence again. Guess we are going to have to go out looking for them!
Went to Tampa today to see Rent. It was great (but a long drive there and back). Snarky jr wanted to see it because it had two of the original leads that stared in the show in 1996. I guess they have become like cult heros or something. They were also in the movie (which was awful, imo) Adam Pascale came out after the play and sign autographs as well as several other cast members. He had a brief conversation with snarky jr and his two friends about Broadway and what it takes to be on Broadway. He was very nice.
Anyway the show was very good.
Don't know how long I'll be here tonight. I'm bushed!
No day but today.

I hate traffic, I had to go all over town today, the funeral home and the hospital. I know I told some of you about my cousin wht found out she has rectal cancer, well, her father died Tuesday morning about 3:00 AM and she was rushed to the hospital Wednesday night. They have her four pints of blood and will begin chemo and radiation Monday. I brought her lots of goodies to eat this weekend before she starts treatments because she won't want anything after that. She will probably be in the hospital for 2-3 months, she has such a great spirit and attitude. I don't know if I could stay confined for that long. Please say a prayer for her, if y'all don't mind.

The news says there's lots of thunder and lightning storms. August is the usual time of year in these parts. I was once in a car and suddenly felt static, every hair on my head stood up. I rolled up the windows fast and was fine, but it was a split second of panic. No lightning strikes have ever been reported in a hard-top car with windows rolled up. World-wide, lightning hits somewhere on earth 100 times a second. 30/30 rule: If you can hear thunder within 30 seconds of lightning, you're in a six mile radius and need to stay out of danger. After a thunderstorm, it takes 30 minutes for the danger of lightning to dissipate, so wait that long before going out. Talking on land-line phones is a big source of lightning strikes for people.
