Second surgery was on nov 18, my leg was swollen three times bigger than the size of my other leg. I wa bruised black from ankle to hip. The swelling was so bad I had a couple of places that tore open. It looks a 100% better, even though I had 37 stitches. The removal of which I can tell you was painful but it feels soooooo good to get them out. Physical therapy is gonna be so rough. I'm worried abt if I will ever walk normally again.

I trust that you will walk just fine--just not as soon as you want. Physical therapy will be rough but worth it. They will work you hard, but you will end up being Very Grateful to them.

Are the roads cleared up there yet? It's starting to get bad here right now. I was out earlier today ( chasing Mom around Walmart) and it was just brutal cold outside. Now we've had about 2 inches of snow in the past hour.

It is really pretty outside; snow with the sun shining on it.
Liz, I haven't heard from son since yesterday afternoon, so I don't know whether his class got canceled. Ryder's mom posted that she was at work and supposed to get off in an hour (this was yesterday evening, when the snow was really coming down hard) and she was anxious to get off and get home before the roads got too bad. Then her replacement slid off into a ditch on her way to work, so Ryder's mom was going to have to work until 10 PM.

I'm praying for you Queen and hope you're healed soon.

I got in a car wreck and crushed my tibia which splintered the bone chards into my knee. I also broke my wrist. I've had two surgeries, two blood transfusions so far. Never take walking for granted. Second surgery lasted 7 1/2 hours. Dr. Says it will be months before I can walk by myself. Here it is Christmas and I'm bedridden. I have the external stabilizer on my wrist which I'm hoping it will be removed before New Years. I'm very grateful to be alive and the trooper said my seat belt saved my life.
Merry Christmas everyone, I hope y'all have a blessed Christmas and New Year. XO

Good morning, Allbodies. I wish you a happy day.

Liz, I'll bet your mom had a good time making sure you got your exercise in Walmart. Is it still snowing? How much did you get?

Cajun, hope you are feeling better today and every day until you are well again. Those pictures are horrendous. How long will you have that awful hardware?

Got a little freaked out this morning, I can feel the metal under my skin, my leg is numb where all the plates are inside my leg. It is one or more plates from above my knee extending down, across my leg to the ankle bone on the side. That will stay forever, I still haven't asked to see the X-ray but last appt. the X-ray tech said OMG, you have a long road ahead of you. Gee, thanks for cheering me up. Got 37 staples removed last week, what a relief but the nurse is lucky because I wanted to hurt someone, lol. The external hardware will be in for 6-8 weeks. It has been a little over three weeks since the last surgery and blood transfusions. The pain has eased a little and for that I'm grateful.

Oldest daughter had me cracking up. She said she was getting fat. I told her, "Trust me. You are Not getting fat."
She said she knew she was. She said she put on her Sooners pajama pants. Said the Sooners across her butt used to look like "Sners" and now it looks like "Soooooneeeeers." I told her that just meant she had better team spirit this year.

Good Morning All

Murph still snowing here but not much accumulation. We have about 6 inches on the ground from the past few days. Did you see where the temp in Chicago was -15. Wow those poor people.

I just knew I should have left the tree and the bins on the floor. I have just about everything set up but it feels like I have some glitter stuck in my one eye. It's driving me nuts.

Errr, Citizen Zero, do you think you could break a table with a shotgun? Why don't you try and let us know of your success. Even if you had a hammer, you would still have a hell of a time breaking a table.
You gotta think man......
You really are dumb, it's not an act. Broke it? He Shattered her GLASS table.

I wish you could think.

Two hydrogen atoms walk into a pub.
One says, "I think I've lost an electron."
The other says "Are you sure?"
The first says, "Yes, I'm positive.

Good Morning all

Murph where are you? Hopefully not plowing.
The other day we reached a ten year record low for temps on that day. It was -3.
So yesterday when it went up to 20, it felt like 80 degrees.
This week I really need to buckle down. I still have gifts to buy, gifts to wrap, Christmas Eve food shopping to do and my annual baking to get done.

Dear Lord Friday can't come soon enough.
Noah's been pissing and moaning about having to go spend a week taking care of his Grandmother over break. Yeah it blows, she lives an hour away on the farm and there's nothing to do there for him, but they need his help for the week so he can certainly man up for one week and pull his weight. The lame excuses he's been giving his Dad for not going are downright hysterical and I couldn't help but laugh at first. Now it to the point that I can't stand hearing about it any longer and if he doesn't leave soon I'm running away from home.

Last night his Dad told him he would pick him up and school and follow his back to the Grandmother's house. Noah was flipping out saying he doesn't need a police escort.

Good morning, Zazz, Liz and Alllbodies. I hope you have a great day.

This afternoon is the funeral of my wonderful aunt. She told her daughter last Wednesday, "When I die, I don't want you kids crying. I won't be. I will be celebrating." She died early Saturday morning.

There was a story in the paper a couple of weeks ago about a new chiropractor in town who does needle acupuncture. It didn't give a phone number. Yesterday my friend who helps me went to her office and asked her to call me. She did and I explained that I needed acupuncture to tone the pain down enough for me to make it to the funeral. She had me come in yesterday afternoon and did an adjustment and acupuncture. I can't really tell whether it did anything for me, but I Am Going to the funeral.

Oh, poor Noah. I feel for the kid. You know no kid has that on his bucket list of 'how I'd like to spend Christmas break'.

This was a perfect day for my wonderful aunt's funeral. It was bright sunshine and in the low 60's.

We have a 50% chance for snow on Sunday, then warmer weather again. Looks like we won't have a white Christmas.
